This sound on acoustic is why I want to learn. I started a year and a half back, but my flow is nearly non-existent. I had played a couple of wind instruments as a kid in school band, but got away from music until I was 50 years old.
This video is inspiring. I feel like if I slow it down some things will start coming together. Thank you!

More of this! One of these days you should try this with a 12 string in open tuning capo'd 5th fret and up. That makes for some cool mandolin/mandola sounding stuff the higher up you go on the neck.

My wife tried learning the Banjo, then traded it in for a Mandolin. She then took the mandolin & traded it in for a Martin 12-string guitar. Well - the Martin guitar has been sitting in the closet ever since. I'm now afraid she'll trade me in.

Sounds like she has a desire to play ,but is getting frustrated
I’d get her an electric guitar so she can at least play with effects ,distortion and stuff and have fun on the way to learning
I would think that would keep her interested
long enough to be able to actually play something

Here's a related, but slightly off topic hint-- with a guitar, in standard tuning and capo'd at the fifth fret, if you play only the first four strings (D,G,B,E), it's the same as a ukelele.
