I am irrationally angry about Datto not putting the Shaders exactly in the middle of the square
you are not alone. it is my only slice of criticism.
I feel like he did it on purpose just to mess with people
Biggest problem is Skillups camera window being cut out wrong at the beginning!!
I’m irrationally mad at those with darker skin tones than me.
It’s not in the middle bc the margins between the text and the edge are the same. It would look worse if it was in the middle of the frame
Joe is willing take the abuse from the worst of the community by himself, stream himself playing the game he's actively leading development on, and star in the videos of content creators, that is such an unbelievably based move for John Bungie.
For real such a chad move to also go that extra mile and jump in on Destiny community videos, also that content reveal was huge for me like actually

This is why when we talk about Bungie and their negatives, we must remember to separate Bungie Corporate from the actual Bungie game developers working in Destiny.
A developer who can sit with us and be like “yeah these overload champs are BS”

It was never about the game, it's about who i played with and how i spend my time. If the game is ruined over bad news, then I feel bad for how you've surrounded yourself in the hobby. We all need to step back from the situation, in my opinion, if you only played because the game had potential, then what are you really logging on for?

Wasn't prepared to hear a QoL update for shaders. Being able to see how the shade in more detail, in game, is going to definitely help people out.
This is exactly the type of stuff a game director of a live game like Destiny needs to be doing. Hell, the game director of a single player game has been the shining example of communication with Doom Eternal and the livestreams Hugo Martin did for months after release.
Whether or not this leads to anything doesn't really matter to me, Blackburn just being out there feels good to see.
For real, those Hugo Doom streams were so fun and insightful

Tbf, I don't think a single person liked that shit. Rare community unity moment there when they announced they were changing it.
It was one of the first things he changed when he became game director.

I mean that’s normal. You cannot expect to be installed as a new game director for a video game and like every aspect of the game that was developed before you were hired, unless you were dishonest or the game was perfect.

There's virtually no purple. A shader having purple is irrelevant.
maybe my graphical settings or eyes are wrong but I can't find the purple on it until I equip it

Datto, you put so much effort into these kind of vids and they are fantastic. The production of the overlay and the different rounds, i just want you to know that it doesn't go unnoticed and it is appreciated. This was really fun to watch. I would love to see a series of Destiny trivia. Shaders was great but it could be expanded to anything in the game, weapons, armor ornaments, structures/architecture on maps, the sky's the limit for this concept. Thank you again for the great content.

I loved this. It was so awesome to see them just sit down and have some fun. Especially Joe, taking time to not only talk to the community, but be a part of the community. My respect grew even more.
Damn, this just hurts. I first watched this and felt so amazing, destiny was turning a corner from a dark time, and getting to the end of the tunnel. More content from Joe, and just this lighthearted jovial feeling. There was a lot of state of the game conflict, and this seemed to be marking the end of the recession when things would get better. Now its so much worse and everything is just tainted with controversy and anger. It feels like radiation sickness, you start to get better, think things are fine, and then it comes back in for the kill. Thank you datto, this was a fun and wonderful video.

This was really fun to watch live. Such a stupid idea but ended up being a good time. Also the bit of news Joe gave us about the shader QoL is very nice.
The fact that Datto had the guides for quadrants on his photoshop and not a SINGLE shader was centered was driving me crazy

Joe should’ve gotten points for amethyst veil. It’s the best shader to stay black but make any “light” parts of the armor glow purple.
This is the best destiny content, i need more Datto game shows with other well known content creators and game devs, whether its joe cause joe is great or other devs.

With him being the actual game director of the game, there's probably some amount of "Haha, he's making the game, but cannot even get every shader name right omegalul" going around in the community. But seeing that the people behind this game are just regular people probably is the wake up call that some people need (if there's any hope for those)
