Currently working on my own title sequence with finger puppets. I always thought of these great title sequences as a mini movie within a movie to show off the director's talent and ingenuity. It's also a great way to get new Talent to a greater Audience
Mine would be Carnivale... From the haunting music to interplay of the tarot cards, paintings, to the real documented images of the Great Depression... Truly captivating. I hope I could learn how to do it someday, that kind of 3D style sequencing. Others...would be The Leftovers Season 1 and True Detective Season 1.
I remember being hooked on your Harley series because of the opening titles, there really wasn't anything like it at the time on the indie/ RUclips scene
For sure! But with that being said, RUclips is all about instant gratification and get to the point that it may not be good for the algorithm. I did it with my show tho 🤷🏾♂️
Do you write in a title sequence in the script for the project, if so, how do you write it - the same way for any other scene or is there a specific way?
Been inactive for a bit but I’m back love now! For my title sequences I don’t necessarily write them out, I usually just have an idea of what I want to see and I’ll make a shotlist. Now if it was a real intricate title sequence, I would consider writing a full script on it to get my idea out. Thanks for watching!

I will always go back to the Bond titles I grew up with even though the Hitchcock/Saul Bass openings are perfect.

Two of my favorite opening title sequences are James Bond's 1964 "Goldfinger" and the 2002 movie "Catch Me If You Can"
The Bond titles were crazy! And I forgot about Catch Me if You Can! That was my movie!
