- Hey guys, please read description! TURN ON ANNOTATIONS FOR SUBS (wow this is really nostalgic)
Some of you guys might be wondering why I've gone back to using soft subs, and the main reason is actually because I feel that the focus of the last and final song in the anime is not the lyrics, but to look at all the scenes, all the memories that went by these 12 weeks, and to enjoy Jin's voice.
Thus, I feel that subs would be way too distracting, and I've made it soft subs in case anyone who wishes to read the subs will still be able to.
Apologies to all mobile users though.
That being said, this is the final Anime MV, and my RUclips career seems to be coming to an end sadly. My channel will unfortunately be inactive for a few weeks after this, as my finals are in a matter of weeks D:
The Kagepro spirit will definitely continue to live within me, and I'll see if there's any other things I can continue to do to contribute to this Kagepro fandom.
All hail Shintaro. Till the end, he was and is still the hero.

You have to do so much research to understand this show it's ridiculous
First you have to listen to all of the Kagerou Project songs and find the meaning
Then you have to read the manga to get a lot of the backstory stuff
Then you read the light novel
Then it all comes together for the happy ending in the anime
all those budgets were spent to make ayano prettier....from the MMD style to this style
worth It ^_^
Jalen the Railgun Totally worth it, Ayano is so beautiful in this anime.
This was the prettiest pile of shit I ever watched. It pissed of fans of the source material and pushed potential fans away, but it did provide some great covers. It did a great job as an advertisement for the source though.
So.... Did you like it? Lol.
As much as I loved the show, I can't help but admit you have a point there.

Ichida Okazaki オカザキ hardcore fans are really strict when it comes to detail. They should really chill from time to time... ^-^
I have a love-hate relationship with this. I personally think the art could've been better at some points, and the plot felt rushed compared to the other media. It was still enough to make me feel emotional. (And I wish the a how could've been longer, because there's a lot of backstory and stuff...) Oh well. At least we got something ^~^
Worst part of this scene is when Shintaro and Ayano don't confess their feelings :(
For all the problems the anime had, the end still made me cry just as hard as the original Summertime Record did back in the day.
Edit: Seriously though, I'm in my 4th year of Japanese education in an American school, and even I can tell they mistranslated the last line of the series. It should be "Even tomorrow, I surely won't forget." Not Shintarou. Ugh translators why do you keep doing this to my baby

I don't even think you need to have studied a lot of Japanese to hear that they've miserably mistranslated that part.
Sekaye Gaudet Oh, I didn't mean to criticize Xeno, I was saying that Crunchyroll had done a poor job of it. I think they've fixed it since then actually. And Akira Takade, you don't even really need to know any; you can just hear that she doesn't say "Shintarou."
Haha I was really worried about it when subbing as well... Thought she might have said something like "he'll never..." With the he referring to shintaro oops. Haha how silly of me
Lots of people weren't aware that the anime is the final time-line of the entire kagepro.
To those unaware, this anime id part of a multimedis project THIIICK with plot.

I just saw the hour and a half retrospective "The end of Summer ~ A Kagerou Project retrospective".
Now this scene has A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE TO ME... It was... Shintaro's farewell to Ayano...
I had no idea what happened in this anime I just remember these two were cute together and the songs were fun
Its sad that its over :( . The point is that I dont feel that its over because I still need to read the manga xd
Am I the only one who is expecting to see the Haruka in the Summertime Record PV to be shown in the anime?
Half the time I didn't understand what was going on... But I still enjoyed watching it nonetheless 😂

Even though the anime was really confusing
Hiyori got like 15 mins of screen time through the whole series. They didn't even bother showing her coming back from the heat haze and just stuck her in at the very end at 1:34
I almost cried watching the ending, a little.
This music is pure magic. Always brings me up when I'm feeling down.
Now to find another thing to watch... I liked this anime
so sad to move on from that hazy summer day T^T

While this anime was absolutely rife with problems, it did introduce me to Kagerou Project, so...I guess that's something?

Haruka is standing between Takane and Momo, here, it seems. The picture here isn’t very detailed, but his appearance is more like in Summertime Record from what I can tell. Still waiting for Kagerou Daze no.9, I’m hoping it has more Haruka content post-Mekakucity Actors...
Someone please answer!Did Konoha/Kuroha/Haruka died in the end?Because I saw 8 Mekakushi Dan members(except the girl beside Hibiya) at minute 1.29 plus Shintaro,who is still with Ayano.I assuming that Haruka or Konoha is with them?Please tell me yes! @.@
Indeed, Haruka is with them. He's been brought back from the haze. However, what's really special is that Konoha may still be alive (perhaps physically or spiritually), as seen from 1:11, where Konoha's legs are shown (though he is not there). Hmm...
XenoRaine Its good to know that Haruka is back.Im a little confused with Konoha separated from Haruka although they are the same person but Im happy to know that Haruka is alive. @.@
XenoRaine Seeing how Konoha was Jin's favorite character, it'd make sense with Konoha being alive.

So did konoha/haruka not make it out? Because you see 9 silhouettes when the whole groups together and I couldn't figure out who the guy to the right of takane was
I think it's haruka since he was in the heat haze and from the look of things everyone that was in the heat haze got out. Konoha was the one running i think since he sacrificed himself to get rid of the evil snake. (I'm probably really wrong)

Kuroha was in Kenjirou's body first, but when Kenjirou's wish to see Ayaka was granted, Kuroha had to look for another host or else he'll disappear. He then chooses to use Konoha since he is the strongest. Since Kuroha entered Konoha's body, Kuroha had to grant his wish. Konoha's wish was to save Hiyori, and the only way Hiyori can get out of the haze is if she had a snake with her. So Kuroha was forced to save Hiyori. And Kuroha is now substituting Hiyori's life, so that means there isn't a snake that can support Konoha anymore- this is why Konoha disappears as well. I can't really explain how Haruka is there though

Actually they did. Do you remember the scene where the gang was running around and talking about saving Hiyori? Konoha did promise Hibyia to save her and he did by wishing to save "her" at the "final battle" against Kuroha. Although they didn't show us the scene, but they pretty much stated it.

a bit late but i think its like this: konoha and haruka has different bodies,haruka body was being kept by snake of clearing eyes alongside ene real body,both are soulless since haruka is inside the haze and ene being an ai or whatever using their snakes power,ene still herself but in ai body,while haruka is "dead",and haruka power creating konoha,but imagine it like this,konoha is like a video games character that follow haruka desire,and haruka basically hear and see throught him from the heat haze,but when shintaro and ayano brought haruka back,haruka enter his real body,not konoha

It's kind of odd how Ayano states that "IF I had gone back to that time, it's possible a future like that COULD have happened". It seems to imply that she's still in the Daze, or in the very least, that the final scene is in fact non-canon or only a possible ending. Just my thoughts on the matter.

MNS Even if it is Mary talking, the phrasing of the dialogue still indicates that the ending is only a possible/potentially non-canon ending. Just my two cents,

i think it doesn't matter it is music video or anime or manga or novel.it is canon as of that material.because jin writes all of them.if u look at the credits,even this episode is written by jin.maybe he is trying to do different routes.so maybe in the manga and novel we might have different endings(or the same).
I know its been five years but yes this definitely is just one of the many endings. I recommend you read the manga if you didn't!
