Old description: This is a church siren in linville North Carolina doing westminster chime.
This sounds so relaxing. I can just listen to a recording and use it to cool off.
StrikerTehPhazonEmperor Yes this is indeed relaxing!!! :)
Agreed
First electronic church chimes video I watched
I agree with you
But Westminster School Westminster Chimes are cool
These are actually real time chimes amplified to these speakers!
Agreed

Now I miss when my school kept the chimes running... I want my childhood back again

Wow ,I first watched this video back in 2009 and man what nostalgia. I loved how it sounds at 0:21 to 0:24 and I still do.
Same.
I've seen this back in 2012 or 2013
@@GarfieldFan2004 same but more around 2014
I have a whole playlist on my channel of nostalgic clock/bell vids you may know feel free to check that out. They date back some of them 16 years
@Duderocks5539, how’s your day?
I love Westminster Chime clocks!
Same!
That's sounds so beautiful.
In Atwater, California where I grew up, the Catholic church, St.Antthony's, had a Maas-Rowe carillon system installed in the early 70's and is still working today!
It's probably been updated several times since then...from a purely mechanical system to one controlled by a digital clock controller (DCB3).
Sounds very peaceful.
Beautiful west minister chime
these horns have that much great quality that the sound that comes from these horns let them dissapear! i have heard the same effect only from the swiss kockum sonics et siren.
It's a Maas-Rowe DCB3.

the sound is perfect for a tornado siren

The siren is old because one of the horns are fasing upward
Beautiful!

Where exactly is this church located if you still remember? I live about 30 minutes away from Linville.
Sounds wonderful
Look, it's waving. Yes, hello speakers.
I love this chime... but I don't have a church that dose this chime:(
my grandma's big clock sounds like this!
I have a church that buy that is by my cousin's house and it plays the same tone
is there a bell in the tower
You do need to be on the spot under the speaker ready for the hour chime, lol. Oops! A lot of people do this for several minutes so they don't miss the chimes.
I like Westminster Chime clocks
Iver heard that before in tampa. there were like 3
We have those at St. Sebastian Catholic Church
Those horns sounds like bells
The Elizabeth Tower plays Westminster but it's in construction for 4 years
You mean Big Ben
Sheryl McNeice Big Ben is referred as the big bell, not the tower itself.
are those real bells or are they bells on the computer system?
It's just a recording
bkrbyex4339 it’s not a recording.
It’s a carillon system.
Kristie Beals look at the previous comment I made
@@bkrbyex4339 Maybe do research before attempting to sound smart, witch you're not. The Mass Rowe Carillon system uses a series of metal rods connected that are hit by electronically connected hammers. The rods are tuned in scale, and when they are hit by the hammers, the tone gets sent through a pickup much like on an electric guitar, except it's hitting rods not plucking strings. The pickups are electronically connected to an amplifier that has these speakers on top connected to it, and the rest of the bell structure is connected to a controller. The songs are either stored on CD, or on floppy disk. I think the newer use even use USB drives to load songs. The songs are basically data files that get sent to the bell rods and hammers, telling the hammers what rods to hit and at what times. This is a very unique way of doing a carillon system. It's kind of a "digital-acoustic" carillon system.
The Maas-Rowe Chronobell uses real struck bell metal, cut to length for reach pitch. In addition the partials are ground by hand at certain intervals in the bell metal. The Maas-Rowe tone generator used in the DCB1/DCB2/DCB3 has 15 bell rods which are divided up into 7 playing notes for the Westminster Chime, Tolls, Angelus, Bell Peals etc. The C note for the hour strike consists of three bell rods struck at the same time.
