You do need to be on the spot under the speaker ready for the hour chime, lol. Oops! A lot of people do this for several minutes so they don't miss the chimes.
@@bkrbyex4339 Maybe do research before attempting to sound smart, witch you're not. The Mass Rowe Carillon system uses a series of metal rods connected that are hit by electronically connected hammers. The rods are tuned in scale, and when they are hit by the hammers, the tone gets sent through a pickup much like on an electric guitar, except it's hitting rods not plucking strings. The pickups are electronically connected to an amplifier that has these speakers on top connected to it, and the rest of the bell structure is connected to a controller. The songs are either stored on CD, or on floppy disk. I think the newer use even use USB drives to load songs. The songs are basically data files that get sent to the bell rods and hammers, telling the hammers what rods to hit and at what times. This is a very unique way of doing a carillon system. It's kind of a "digital-acoustic" carillon system.
The Maas-Rowe Chronobell uses real struck bell metal, cut to length for reach pitch. In addition the partials are ground by hand at certain intervals in the bell metal. The Maas-Rowe tone generator used in the DCB1/DCB2/DCB3 has 15 bell rods which are divided up into 7 playing notes for the Westminster Chime, Tolls, Angelus, Bell Peals etc. The C note for the hour strike consists of three bell rods struck at the same time. That's sounds so beautiful.
In Atwater, California where I grew up, the Catholic church, St.Antthony's, had a Maas-Rowe carillon system installed in the early 70's and is still working today!
It's probably been updated several times since then...from a purely mechanical system to one controlled by a digital clock controller (DCB3).
Sounds very peaceful.
The Unity Village Bell Tower has the BRG Carilion (you hear that everywhere) and it has a deeper minor note mass rows kind of chime
My library in Puyallup WA has this exact same thing.
I also really love Westminster rings!

this video was old....... BUT IT DOSENT LOOK OLD
The siren is old because one of the horns are fasing upward
that’s because the video was uploaded in 2008 and recorded by a handheld 2006 cell phone.
the sound is perfect for a tornado siren
Nice sound!
