I went to their album release party in June and during the Q&A, Chris said this was his favorite song and he believes it is his best vocal ever. In fact, he rest of the band named this as their favorite song from the album.
Another fun fact about this track’s meaning is that it came from Chris’ therapy sessions. He and his therapist dubbed his aggressive side that he’s tried to shed for years, the side of his personality that he struggles with, the “werewolf”. And they named it that because of his love for Halloween and all things spooky. You hit the nail on the head with the metaphor!
When you recorded this I said it sounded like they sampled 'Somebody's Watching Me' which was a song by Rockwell in the 80s. I checked and they definitely did. You said it sounds like a lot of pop influence. MJ was the King of pop, and Rockwell was pop, synth, R&B. So those influences are obvious here!
Glad you could come back around to this band. Their newest album, which this song is featured off of, is an absolute banger. I feel like you’d dig a good number of songs! Sign of Life is very Breaking Benjamin-esque and right up your alley
This song is basically a throwback/ reference to Michael Jackson

I love this song and video, it’s one I can watch on repeat, and I love the homage to MJ in the video and lyrics because I’m actually named after MJ in tribute to my oldest sister who died 3 months before I was born , and I can’t wait to see them live on Thursday in Peoria Illinois🤘🏽🖤🖤🤘🏽

Excellent song!! So much fun to watch especially since it's the day after Holloween. I had so much fun yesterday giving out candy to the kids and seeing their amazing costumes. And I love the Thriller video and M.J.❤️
