FIRED UP DRUMS NEW ACOUSTIC DRUM EPISODES BY MY VIBE BEATS!
Thanks for visiting my YT channel. I’ve decided to upload some acoustic drum “practice jams” to switch things up a bit. I’m not using titles but simply calling them “FIRED UP DRUMS” along with numbered episodes. So much easier! These are raw energy practice jams I’ve captured some years ago. Raw edge energy but not “perfect” performances, the same as with all of my electronic drum jams!
In these "practice jams” I’m pushing myself beyond my norm thus there might be occasional stick hits, stick drops, missed hits, inadvertent rim strikes, tempo variations, faulty rudiments etc. These inaccuracies/mistakes are part of the "practice jams" and inevitable while I'm overreaching beyond my comfort zone boundaries. The executing of the spur of the moment ideas of creativity can sometimes present for rough or primal transitions. These are not thought out ideas but merely expressions of gut feeling!
I’ve been compelled to employ this spontaneous release of raw energy through what I call the “FREE FLOW FEEL”. This has been my approach from day one and it affords me to expand my horizons with new ideas, always forging ahead into new territories. I made it a normal practice to record myself over the years, for my review purposes only and had no intention of ever sharing them publicly.
There’s 1000’s of tutorials flooding the internet illustrating rudiments, techno-wizards, galactic grooves and flowing fills, so I believe these raw jam videos might make for more interesting content to a far wider audience. I apologize in advance for the poor audio and video quality from these old VHS recordings which I’ve converted from analog to digital to upload here. A few years back I had considered sharing these drum "practice jams” and was reluctant but recently had a change of heart.
The “FIRED UP DRUMS” performances are from 2012 to 2016 and are played on various quality acoustic drum sets including: Pearl BLX, Tama Swingstar, Rogers, Sound Percussion, Tama Octobons, Remo RotoToms and various homemade FX and bell cymbals. At one point I was forced to use milk crates for a snare drum stand and drum throne! Some of the cymbals I used were not well known brands but in my opinion, did a great job.
Please don’t forget to like, subscribe and share the videos which will help build up the RUclips algorithm, so my channel content can get included in the YT feed more often and on a regular basis. If I get 1000 subscribers or more there’s a better chance I may be supplied an electronic drum set from manufacturers who will then see my YT channel as a better source and avenue to showcase their products. I currently only have mesh practice pads!
My Hope and goal is to acquire enough subscribers that will gain the attention of professional electronic drum companies to supply me with their top of the line drum set so I can illustrate my current drumming endeavors and skills, while bringing greater exposure to their drum brand.
