While I agree in a sense, to be fair, almost every "wrath" card pictures a lot of sapient beings dying en masse. So Fumigate is arguably only worse in the sense that it downplays the mass killing since they're "just" pests.
If it helps, 99% of gremlins are not sapient in-lore, as they're more or less wild animals in Kalidesh that eat machinery. Gimbal had fallen into an aether vat once while feeding, and drinking the mana enhanced his intelligence so much that not only had he become sapient, but also gave him a passion to create brand new machines inspired by his upbringing and the world around him
this little fella was the most fun i've had brewing around something in a very long time; my deck isnt very good strict to the studs but the process of actually putting it together and watching the rube goldberg machine fire exactly two (two!) times how i envisioned it makes it completely worth it
Green=counters and tokens Blue=artifacts Red= double damage from stuff like furnace of rath or extra combats like relentless assault, Combat Celebrant or Bloodthirster.
Rashmi&ragavan goes extra hard with this card. Academy manufactor, obviously. Brudiclad too ofc. Fae offering. Nick valentine from the fallout set. These are just the ones that i could think of off the top of my head

I'm not a huge fan of "designed for the command zone" cards to begin with, but I like that homeboy actually makes you work for it. Much better than most commanders today that are all lame and uninteresting with rules text the length of a small novel.
While I def don't run this lil' guy for the marathon's he's running for his silly little trinkets and baubles, I can def respect those who do for the sheer wild card factor they have. You're never gonna know just *how* many different artifact tokens the Gimbal player's gonna make in a game or how they'll be used aside from the Gremlin making, and that level of strange diversity makes for a very interesting game! (also, he's in green blue and making a lot of tiny little guys with counters on them, so biomass mutation works wonders)

As somebody who thinks a lot about Meren for Reasons, I can’t even be mad about it. There’s a tipping point where you do all your Aristocrat things, and your reward is. One cheated creature per turn cycle. Like sometime’s it’s good, but you can get Ghost Deer Man and wind up with an extra color and cost reduction on top of that. MH3 commander products are launching with a Jeskai cheat commander with haste, energy counters, flying, twenty dollars, and good head. I hope I crack the code someday, and the code isn’t just “big demons lmao”, but in the meantime, Meren of No Shower November is probably the best commander for quietly winning the game when nobody’s looking.

Gimbal does not make one 'EVERY' turn. Gimbal only makes one on YOUR turn... on your ENDSTEP. Every turn would be a vast improvement for him. Never has there been a commander that asked you to do so much... to accomplish so very little. At least Thalisse and Cadira aren't picky about what kind of tokens and will match your investment (and Thalisse really does do it EVERY turn).

Also if you can make copies of other artifacts they are unique named tokens, so thats cool
