I remember being a kid, watching this was my first introduction to Henry Rollins, and I liked it. This show introduced me to a lot of music and I’m grateful for it.
Rollins lost his mind when Donald Trump was sworn in on 20 January 2017. His musical commentaries in the LA WEEKLY became rabid tirades against Trump. There was no sign of letup, so I stopped reading them at all.
I’m 45. I hadn’t seen MST until about 15 years ago - I live in the Scottish highlands and we didn’t get a lot of the awesome tv shows back in the 90s. Anyway, it’s one of the funniest things I’ve seen and I can spend hours watching old episodes and cheering myself up about the fact I’m 45, my ass is spreading and my tits are getting closer to my knees.

I was 26 when this came out. I never thought that MTV would ever go near bands like Black Flag or The Rollins Band. Someone had their ear tuned to the real and made the call to do this skit. Good call whoever you are. Good call !

Yeah, Ministry's album last year is killer. Real return to form. Love Alice's new stuff with William. The band is still obviously driven alot by Jerry Cantrell, so not too surprising with the sound but I do like how Will has fit into Alice.
Yup! I miss those MTV days. They were willing to experiment with new shows including animation and shows like The State. I haven't watched MTV in years, and I don't think I ever will again.

I read a story from a mate I know over facebook. He was saying his teenage (I think 13y.o) daughter was wearing a Nirvana t-shirt at the end of last year. He mentioned Kurt Cobain to her and she had no idea what he was on about, so he told her, she said "Dad, don't be stupid, Nirvana is a fashion brand" They are too slack to use the internet for learning!
That's pretty fucking sad, I got into nirvana about the same age around 2008 and I got into nevermind real heavily, because my dad had his copy in one of our CD booklets in the house. From that momment on I got into all the other albums and watched all the interviews and live clips. I would just face palm myself if I heard someone say something like that to me like that little girl did.
