I'm just glad she's taken the time to realize how quickly you can take a Pokemon from being strong because you like them to being strong because they're functionally double cheeked up on a Thursday afternoon. Because compared to before, it doesn't take much time at all.
6:33 I've been playing competitive pokemon for 6 years now, and I can confirm it's quite easy to get into, but to master is a whole another story, especially building a team requires so much effort because it's always a short blanket and you have to decide wether to leave your feet or your shoulders uncovered. With that said, Elira can do it 100%, because even if she happens to not know something, her audience is big enough there's someone who can give her advices on the matter
yeah thats why I end up hacking the teams in and experimenting because I really cannot be bothered to breed for like 900+ hours, esspially in old games without powers or just grind skips
@@UCu5gjzXvp21vqXJOFrSiJkBXuw I also do that, not gonna lose all that time behind grinding. Pokemon showdown is very useful in this regard, the only reason TPCI hasn't shut down the site yet is because without it the competitive scene wouldn't even exist and they know it, but they'll never admit it
This is the best generation so far for trying out competitive pokemon. Minimal effort for training your pokemon as everything that is wrong can be fixed with an item now.
The amount of time I've saved in Scarlet due to the early access of mints, ability capsules, and Hypertraining+Caps is innumerable. Plus, being able to use these items on the Mons you caught during your adventure, rather than hours of hunting/breeding perfect ivs and Natures, allows for more of an unconditional love for favorites.
Very true but still slightly annoying due to Tera types being so much work to change and the money making methods feeling less potent than previous gens.
You learned advanced mechanics to eliminate your team's perceived weakness and optimize performance. I learned advanced mechanics to win with "weak" and "unoptimized" pokemon in spite of their statistical inferiority. We are not the same. -Sejuin Park winning worlds with a Pachirisu and Sitrus berry I know Pachi was really good with iron deluge and lightning rod, but it's still funny and awesome that he won with the bulky blue "rat"
Frosslass' attack and special attack are equal, but it's special pool is so much better than it's phys pool due to the lack of move Tudors. It gets Ice spinner and Icicle crash, but the loss of triple axel hurts it's offensive potential a lot. If you wanted to run physical Frosslass it could look like this. Froslass @ Focus Sash Ability: Cursed Body Tera Type: Ghost EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe Adamant Nature - Icicle Crash - Ice Shard - Tera Blast - Thunder Wave
Froslass is fast. It's just that it's base stat total is low from a competitive standpoint, and its ability/movepool isn't good enough to compensate for that. So the heavy skew of its stats into speed ends up not looking that heavy outside a vacuum. Because things like Meowscarada exist.

If Niji EN ends up doing PVP stuff she'll have a pretty decent selection for it. Especially if she can fix some of the EVs

Yeah! I can't wait to see if other members will join her!!! And then maybe more watchers as well!!!

Never been one for competitive cause well I can't drive and I'm not for travelling unless I'm with family
She's been having some great luck with those outbreaks!
Thinking about it, I do like that I can competitively use the Pokemon I’m now emotionally attached to haha

And when you actually battle in competitive, you get your ass wooped by tatsugiri dondozo, murkrow, maushold, armarouge, and palafin
@@peguin8290 singles is overall healthier, it has its demons too but pls don't force yourself to fight Murkrow 😭
@@Yenrei Legends Arceus made me hate Murkrow enough. This makes it that much worse

Thank you Elyusia, for dislocating your shoulder for the cause.
Low key I want to see her open up chat matches just for her to see just how sweaty Pokemon PVP can get.

Missing the destiny Bond tech :)
One thing I learned about auto battles is that they don't KO shiny Pokémon. 👌
Aaron Cybertron x Ninisani would be very cool.

@@Yenrei oh okay i didn’t really think of that, I don’t do much competitive
I know a certain space lady who could help her out with that :)
Still waiting for that Elira x Wolfey collab
