  • No copywrite infringement intended. The Scot Richard Case was a combination of two Detroit-area bands. Scott Richardson, a member of The Chosen Few, and Gary Quackenbush, a member of The Fugitives, hooked up with producer Jeep Holland to create the Scot Richard Case. The biggest single, I"m So Glad, was huge in Michigan, peaking at #1 at WTAC in Flint, as well as #7 on WKNR, and #13 on CKLW in Detroit.

I remember Scot Richard Case on Swingin Time doing this. Then I also remember later telling someone that a band called Cream copied these guys. Hey I was 12.

The pride of Ann Arbor. These guys were so underrated. Too bad they never received national exposure.

In the Hall of the Mountain King/Bolero, sitting in the grass at Tartan(?) field at Wayne State, stoned to the gills, drinking red ripple or Boones Farm. Those were the days.

I saw Bob Seger and SRC at Crawfordsville Indiana High School in late 1968 or early 1969, all I remember that it was cold. Both were great. Never bought any Seger albums but bought several SRC disks.

Someone in here mentioned Bob Seger. I was living in Dearborn when SRC was big, and, I remember a tv music show they were on. Also on that show was Bob Seger and the Last Heard; they did their original version of Heavy Music. Love how Bob does his "screaming thing" at the end!

OI went to his house but, alas, no ho at SRC's but I did c them at the 5th Dimension, as well as the Yardbirds and Jimi Hendrix. Awesome times for sure.

@The Cats He's most likely from Michigan. I lived there for a year and let me tell you for the most part they are a weird bunch. 90 percent of them have never left the state lines and they literally think it's where the big bang took place. "In the beginning, God created Michigan and everything, cultural or otherwise, originated and spread out to the rest of the world from there." 😶
