it seems like there is a confusion regarding the installation of the LED diffusers. I placed mine on top of the plate as I was only following the official Neo Ergo build guide on their notion page. I have also confirmed with the QK/Neo Rep and I built them correctly. however, people were saying that they should go through from under the plate. and it also seems like the notion build guide has also now changed to the latter method. tbh I don't know which is the correct method anymore but going through under the plate makes a lot more sense, as the diffusers do not fall off easily!
Right. They also don’t protrude as high when installed from under the plate. Probably there is also some visual changes as they get closer to the LEDs.
Everything that Qwertykeys touches turns into gold. Amazing quality video, and I will keep my eyes peeled for this one. Maybe its time to give Alice layout a try myself, after modding that keychron Southpaw Alice for my mom to use at work.
I'm always amazed how much you work you put into each build video! Filming, removing keycaps/switches, modding, adding keycaps/switches again, filming - this must take days to complete 😱
Hello and thank you for the beautiful video! Question for you, did you end up with a bag of small screws at the end? I’m trying to figure out why I have screws.
I think those are the backup screws for the kernel and weight. They’re already pre-built for you so technically you don’t need the screws to build your ergo
How much do you actually see the glitter? If your video is accurate it should be pretty minor.. hopefully. I am wondering because I saw a video of the red one with glitter and there the glitter was pretty intense. Amazing work, nice Video!
Yes it is very minor. It is more noticeable under direct lighting though. I think it’s also because my unit is cream/light coloured that’s why glitters are not very obvious. With brighter or darker colour base, I can imagine the glitters are more intense!
It really depends on your typing habit. I don’t use wrist rests in general. I also feel the tenting angle is not extremely high. So I prefer to type it without the wrist rest, but that’s just me
The typing feels softer and also sounds “more balanced” on the alu plate. Like it brings warmth and gives a very slight resonance. With CF plate it’s just loud and high pitched. I personally feel the alu plate brings out the “character and sound” of the board more! I’m usually a fan of CF plates but on the ergo, alu is the way to go for me.
GB will start probably end of this May to early June. Check the Notion page to find your regional vendor: qwertykeys.notion.site/Neo-Ergo-6bd2a7b8d309439aa515bf6185c99e6d
based on the official notion build page, the diffusers should be fixed onto the plate. qwertykeys.notion.site/Neo-Ergo-Build-Guide-db220293677346258479350f9102843f
That’s not part of the build process! I just wanted to show what it looks like inside the bottom case. Everything in the bottom case will already be pre-built when you receive the board

I appreciate the effort of creating a sound test for so many configs, big respect
I came here to say the same thing! It's a lot of work to get two or three sometimes...this is amazing. Thank you!
The difference between plates is actually rather subtle. Very interesting. This board is amazing
Its insane that this sounds this good even with all the foams. Genuinely surprising
the keycaps colour match is PERFECT!!! it's so pleasing to look at..

Hey thank you! Yeah it takes a few days to film this😅 Love your content btw❤️
@@key_rist thank youuu ✨
Not me just now realizing I've been sharing your video to show how great my ergo is going to be 😅 Thanks for the phenomenal review
the DEDICATION 😂 you have my respect. all the soundtests sound so good
Beautiful board.
Thanks for the build video! Very detailed.
Such a facinating build! Really like the sound and the visual.
Amazing built and packaging, awesome video, one of the coolest Alice keyboards I have seen so far. ASMR
Crazy configs, thank you for all the work you put into this video!
I love how detailed you made this and the camera / editing is great. I can't wait to order this board for myself!
Those HIBI Pudding artisans are delicious, and so is this build
great video - thanks for creating such a long and detailed review of the upcoming Neo. Can't wait to get my hands on this board and try it out myself.
ugh i love this, thank u for such a comprehensive sound test and overall video :3
It such an amazing board! and the sound test config you did for us damn must took a lot of time to do that haha
Neo is unstoppable ! 😮
great video 😍
very nice and detailed video, thanks for trying out different configs!!
That unique carbon fiber ping still exist on the ergo, very similar to the neo65.

amazing review!!! 👏👏👏
Is one of the Puddings white or beige? Beautiful board.
It’s the office beige pudding!
Very detail review❤
thanks for building it without arrow keys
Great video!
Thank you for building this right way, without the arrow keys :) That up arrow left of the right shift is terrible

@@key_rist Thank you! Just the response i needed. Just ordered one.
what are those little square things that came with the stabilizers? mines came with them but have no clue where they're for
They’re to secure stabilizers. I showed how to do them in the video at around 08:12
Hey! You listed about everything in the description, thanks for that but i can't find the cable in there :) Sorry for being hard, haha
Hey sorry I’ve included in the description now. They’re from Ordinary Labs :)
what stabs are you using? will regular durock v2 stabs work with the alice layout or are there specific stabs that you need to build this board?
I’m using the neostabs, which will be included as a free gift when you order a Neo ergo. The 2u Durock stabs will work too
would you say the wristrest is worth it? curious to know if its needed because of the tenting or i can survive without it lol
It really depends on your typing habit. I don’t use wrist rests in general. I also feel the tenting angle is not extremely high. So I prefer to type it without the wrist rest, but that’s just me
alu plate with plate and case foam sounded the best to me. Did not really like any of the CF plate configs.
I like the alu plate a bit more as well!
@@key_rist were there any differences besides the CF plate being a bit louder and more high pitched? That's all I'm hearing from the sound test.

@@key_rist What's the typing experience between no foams and all foams? Any recommendation when using linear switch?
Was this on Drop or something because I can’t find where to buy it online
You’ll be able to buy on around late may

Oh great! Thank you so much
what happened to sound test 15
I missed 15 when typing in the description😅 I have corrected it now
May I ask where did you get your cables from?
They’re from Ordinary Labs
Wait where did the arrow keys go? Is this an old or newer style?
The PCB supports with and without arrow keys
@@key_rist is there a way to configure it so that the up arrow key isn’t shoved in where the shift key should be?
Is it VIA supported?
Yes
mx blacks on alu is the best config
led diffusers are miss located. it must be under plate.
Did you mean during the sound tests? I took them out cause I wasn’t using the RGB
no no i mean 9:54~
based on the official notion build page, the diffusers should be fixed onto the plate.
