- Just a quick video on the mods I've done so far and a quick walkaround. Watch til the end for another attempt at wheelies!
Forgot to mention in the video but I also have the triumph low seat which drops the seat height by about 0.75" to an inch

-Exhaust isn't a direct bolt on but doesn't take much to make it work. Only need to bend the hanger brackets to bolt to the original exhaust mount.

Congratulations on your video. For me the Street Scrambler 1200 XE is the best there is, but only in a dream because here in Brazil, in addition to being very expensive, salaries are very low and in my case, since I have been unemployed for more than 6 years, it becomes dream of owning a Street Scrambler 1200 XE.

Much appreciated. It's definitely a fun bike even if you don't plan to or ever take it off road. Enjoy that t120, haven't had the chance to try one yet but hopefully someday soon.

@@mototrini I've fitted Rottweiler mirrors to my T7..they would probably be good on your bike as they are a bar end mirror tha folds in when you go off road.

Looking like some good mods, the TEC 2-to-1 exhaust has been on my list, hadn't thought of a different silencer on the back for it. Bar end mirrors work quite well along with after market signals.
Thanks man, I do want bar end mirrors but I feel like I might break them everything I go off-road. I definitely prefer the look of the silencer that I ended up with vs the TEC one.
Agree with the TEC 2-1 being high on my want list for my 1200XE. Glad to know a different muffler fits the TEC setup. Thanks for the vid Moto Trini

Suggestions. Get the XC mounts for the mirrors and the factory usb. believe me if you can fit that adapter what you have now the install of the OEM is peanuts to do. Drop Lamp. Pull wires out of lamp. connect. thats it 🏁
Thanks for watching. I was thinking to trade mirror mounts with someone with an XC haven't met any other scrambler riders out in the wild yet. I'll probably add the OEM charging port as you mentioned it. I heard it was tricky fumbling around with the headlight.

Thanks. You can also check the description for a list of parts that I used. The Barkbuster handguards are a lot better than stock and definitely recommended, they also have a carbon fiber version.

Which do you prefer, the Scrambler Desert Sled by Ducati or the Triumph 1200XE?
I don't have too much seat time on the Ducati desert sled nor have I tried the latest version but I think it's safe to say I prefer the scrambler 1200 XE
With the Tec 2 into 1 exhaust adapter.. How were you able to figure out which silencer would fit? Do they suggest anything to you or is it simply diameter of the pipe..? Was there a model of bike that could be looked for? Searching by diameter seems like a royal PITA.. lol..
I did it the hard way lol. I did some rough measurements on the bike while also referring to the TEC install video to see how everything would line up. From there I searched for "51mm universal exhaust" and funny enough a version of the one that comes from TEC popped up which gave me more validation. I just looked for one that I liked and checked the dimensions with the measurements that I took. Only had to bend the hanger brackets to fit it. Also you could use a longer 51mm coupler/pipe to get whatever exhaust you choose closer to the OEM exhaust mounting point. Hope this helps.

@@mototrini Sadly, it doesn't seem like the link to the silencer is working for me. Was it just some generic cheapie silencer or was it any particular brand? There don't seem to be any brand markings visible in the video.

@@jronmorgan yeah I was surprised they went with that one. I updated the link, hopefully it works now. It's just a no name knock off, I think it might be an SC project replica.
Did you have to remap after the decat? Any change in performance? Did the dacat help with heat reduction?
I did not remap yet but I have plans to get the DNK tune which should make a noticeable change in rideability from what I've read. No noticeable change in performance as far as I could tell and yes the decat helps a lot with reducing the heat.

@@MrFelipe8686 yeah the exhaust and seat height were my main reservations in getting the scrambler. Decat and triumph low seat fixed that for me.

this is going to be a stupid question from a non rider that is looking to learn to ride ... does the exhaust get hot ... with your leg right there?
No problem. With the original exhaust and catalytic converter yes. But if you just get a decat/H-pipe or DIY it, it makes the heat bearable/not noticeable.

Your best option would be getting a Zard low mount exhaust which routes it nowhere near your legs.
do you know is there any replacement parts if i were to remove the handguard mounting?
You'd have to order the mirror brackets from the XC if you wanted to keep the stock mirrors as they come standard without the handguards. On the XE the handguards mount with the mirror bracket.
