I heard interview of guy who killed Osama bin laden he said You Don't run to your death. Thats why i am thinking it was tactic
I Know in video it seems like he is grasping for air , yeah could have been hitting gym agreed but with that much adrenaline i think it was training and concision decision, he must be arm forces trained , with many raid experience in war zones of Iraq , Afghanistan. I have been to allen outlets many times its kind of maze and gun man could have easily used interconnected alley ways to come from one side to another side of that stripe mall.
Also imaging only getting paid max 150k , for that he has to put his life in danger , walk towards sound of high power gun, if he hurt any civilian in hurry he will go in jail for his life, thats why i think it was great decision.

A vast majority of cops are like this. The left media/politicians/educrats/BLM/etc. would have you believe different. Yes there are some bad cops just like there are some bad people in every profession, but no one should smear an entire demographic because of a few outliers. We should hold the outliers to a very tough standard and praise all the rest for their selfless sworn duty.

@TazTalksYouListen maybe not the best time/place for this conversation, but here it is,
That last part of your comment is the biggest. We are still waiting for that accountability in many cases.
Every single 1 bad cop ruins the work of 10,000 good ones. Even if the bad are 1 in 10,000.
And yet they are just shuffled around different departments and constantly protected.
They have just recently finally been held to the standards they should have always been held to, but only because they are being monitored _at all times._
I can barely imagine how much the bad officers have gotten away with and the good ones did nothing, forever until 2 years ago. 😢

GREAT JOB.... and that video is a PERFECT example of what I have told my family about CCDW. Knowing how to shoot a paper target at 25 yards is 10% of weapons handling. 90% is mental and forcing yourself to THINK, BREATH, and LOOK. You hear him breathing hard and his voice squeaking. that's the adrenaline effect, in part. Some of those breaths is the officer calming himself and regaining situational awareness. Fighting your own fear is HUGE and this officer does it magnificently.

From about 0:40 seconds when he heard the first shots to about 3:40 or so and he says that he does not know where he is. Then at around 3:50 we see him engage the shooter. I believe they both exchange gun fire. And our guy dodged some bullets there. That is an amazing response time and I think his best bet was to remain on foot. If he got in his squad car, he wouldn't have been any faster and likely would have been ambushed coming in with such a noticeable vehicle. I think he also assumed that it was coming from inside a store as well.

I have heard in some cases when force is being used it could be ruled that it wasn't justified/legal. - e.g. someone got robbed, and the robber got shot. It was then ruled that lethal force was not justified. (well, who would agree...)
The next point I could see is, that if someone gets shot by police, it must be sure, that lethal force was justified, but imagine the footage was not online, nobody could verify. This matter I am sure was of public interest, so having a Jury coming to a judgement makes sense. Especially, since this will rule out the police officer being in fault. - it basically documents the officer being correct about what has happended, which I find makes sense.

By ''people,'' you clearly mean the House and Senate Republicans consistently voting against bills that honor and/or support police officers? Not just police officers, but all first responders. Only Republicans voted against the 2010 9/11 Health & Compensation Act. Then when Republicans got the House & Senate majority, they successfully prevented the renewal of the bill, completely abandoning our police officers, fire fighters, medics, and military whom continue to suffer from the after effects of 9/11. As if cancer and PTSD runs on Congress' schedule. These people are literally dying or have taken their own lives while Republicans play politics.

@@thelawnguy7373 One step at a time, but the 2024 spending bill included an _increase_ in spending for Veterans Affairs. Again, something Republicans wanted to cut, and were willing to let the country default over _not_ taking care of veterans.
A slim chance, but _if_ Democrats are able to retake the house and maintain the presidency, they will likely reinstate the 9/11 Health & Compensation Act; most assuredly under contestation of Republicans.

Officer calls out ‘shots fired’ and needs back up. Immediately runs toward gunfire while updating dispatch where he is. While moving tells civilians to move and get out of area. Not waiting for backup, engages shooter at a distance, since shooter is still shooting innocents. While he has a scope, still tough due to running with gear and the adrenaline pumping, to line up accurate shots and engage. Plus any misses would going down range for a ways since the officer is also using a high velocity round. Kudos to Officer.
