Fedor is a real fighter respectful and humble.
Why is one the best fighters in the world, one of the top draws, the legend, Fedor Emelianenko, always has the worst translators?! I speak both languages, and she misses half of the stuff translating both ways. Not only that, but she's not very articulate in both languages and looks as if she is under the influence. Why can't they invest a few hundred dollars and provide a decent professional translator?
I mean look at her! Look at her eyes! She's spaced out, can't stay still, maintain an eye contact or keep a consistent thought process. She's either drunk or took some drugs for sure! ))))

Not that stupid a question. Fedor is Russian; the sport of hockey is big in Russia and MSG is the home of the NY Rangers. MSG has also hosted some of the biggest boxing events of all time.

Ariel change your translator ! she messed up most of the translations, and only translated part of your questions....Fedor used to have an older Asian looking translator that was much better than this air head....
I mean there are other translators here in states there are Russians in US who are fluent in Russian and English. He needs to hire 'em not the Russians from Russia who speak English.
There are also plenty of good translators in Russia or Europe, but his ( or his managers ) pick for a translator in this video was embarrassing for such a high caliber athlete in such a big event abroad....

My Russian is also good enough to note the poor quality of the translation, but I want to comment on his typical, yet always refreshing blunt honesty. He is an uncomplicated yet profound man, humble yet deeply confident.

The translator did a bad job. Fedor was saying that he doesnt care where he fights as long as there is a big crowd and many fans who appreciate the sport of MMA.

Have to respect Fedor as a gentleman and sportsman throughout his career. No surprise of his opinion of Chael as they are complete opposites, in and out of the ring. I think everyone knows Fedor would squash Chael like a bug even in this point of his career, and in their primes Chael would have been bludgeoned. Unfortunately in today's mindset of making fights it could happen, even though they are clearly in different weight classes.
Being fluent in both English and Russian I must say that this women is a terrible translator and should be banned from events like this, or any other event for that matter that requires a Russian-English translation, and it's a shame that an interview by one of the greatest MMA journalists and one of the greatest MMA fighters in the world is ruined by this woman's incompetence! Just terrible!

Fedor Emelianenko always had high moral principles standards. His thing is fighting viciously but never disrespect his opponent. Russians are more doers than talkers usually. Therefore Chael Sonnen's trash talking seems something silly and boring to Fedor.
I'm big Fedor fan but I must say I'm little disappointed that he didn't take a fight against replacement. Fedor I knew would've fight anybody, Fedor I knew would've fight two different opponents at two different places at the same time :P

Even I don't speak Russian but can tell that she's a horrible translator. You can just tell she's struggling and Fedor looks confused by her questions. I see the same thing in Spanish sometimes. Best translator I've seen is that Brazilian kid who translates for Spider Silva. He is on it! Translators should be as capable as that guy.

His enterpreter should be fired big time. Not only that her English sucks but her Russian sucks as well and the worst part is that most of the time she enterpreted what was said on both ends completely wrong-a number of times to the point it had reversed meaning. Like when he was asked about Sonnen's trash talk at the end and he said that he doesn't agree and condones such treatment of opponents. She enterpreted that he neither agrees nor condones it lol. Sometimes I have the feeling that he grabs some random ladies from the street and asks them to help interprete what he says during the interview.
