Words cannot describe how powerful the Lord of the Rings score is. It brings so much depth, power, breadth and magic to every single second of the films.
“The Old World will burn in the Fires of Industry. The forests will fall… A new order will rise… We will drive the machine of War with the Sword, and the Spear and the Iron Fist of the Orc. We have only to remove those who oppose us.”
ou shit, goosebumps still gettin me. thats how u do it dammit. thats the art of cinema and sound. its embarrasing to watch rings of power after seeing that
@@therac197 main theme in full I. E. If you sit in the menu and let it play thru /loop... Caveat being only the opening... Once Shore adds the choir, this goes in a totally different direction, but before that, it's very reminiscent.
The time signature is entirely different, , & Michael Hoenig was far from the first to make a militant French Horn & Percussion-heavy composition in the key of D minor. Yes, I can hear the similarity, & I'm very familiar with the Baldur's Gate OST, but the notion that Howard Shore ripped off that theme for this composition doesn't really hold water. Sometimes composers just create in a similar vein by happenstance.
i dunno but it feels just right. And on the other hand maybe howard is trying to portray the orcs with a different kind of rythm that showcases theyr differences with humans or other racces which use 4/4. Maybe a bit of a stretch and sorry for my english.
it's about the feeling. We're used to 4/4 which remind us familiar sounds. That's why hobbit's theme are in major and 4/4. While using 5/4 the feeling is really artificial and industrial to our ears
A new power is rising its victory is at hand, this night, the land will be stained to the blood of Rohan, leave none alive. TO WAAAR!!! - Saruman
there will be no dawn for men.

"5 Years of studying musik theory... and for what? Hammering f*cking steel plates! -.-"
Best comment by far
But he is the most important one in this music
He looks miserable af... 😂 😂 😂
You forgot the guy banging his piano.
His blacksmithing is going up tho
That steel plate produced a sick sound, wish this was high quality.
I saw another video. It's a combine of steel chain and steel plate sound
Dude playing the metal sheet was feeling it!
Always in my head when I’m running around. Makes me think Saruman is watching over, providing strength and endurance
This music hits different
“What do you do for a living?”
“I’m a musician.”
“Oh cool! What instrument do you play?”
“Uh…a metal sheet…”
I GET HYPE LISTENING TO THIS... Howard Shore score on this Trilogy is beyond epic...
To waaaaaaaar!!!
I feel like working overnight like the orcs in the movies now. Thank you for sharing this fantastic piece of art!!!
Loved how they gave isengard an industrial metallic theme 😘
Isengaard is my absolute favorite 😍

I often think about the steel drummer. Such focus and precision of delicate strikes.
Isengard's 5th metal beat is so powerful. It gives me goosebumps every time.
This video is so underrated. Only 150k views??

“I play in a professional orchestra 😎”
-“oh yea? What do you play??”
“It’s like a big metal sheet and like hammer thing….
This theme always felt a bit ripped off from Baldurs Gate, which i didn't mind as the BGT is probably my favorite game franchise of all time.
How so ? Which track of Baldurs Gate ?

Pretty sure Howard shore didn’t even know what BGT is..lol
👑👑👌👏👏
Epic
Does anyone know the time signature?
The intro.. Isengard and the orcs? Doesn't he mean uruk-hai
Im Grunde machen wir nichts anderes.
But... why 5/4?
Dimitar Genov I’m assuming for aspects of the percussion to be feel uplifting for best one of the horns

It’s supposed to sound a little off because it is meant to symbolise industrialisation with no regard for the consequences
It adds to the off kilter sense that something is not quite right. Perfect.
I prefer Howard Shore to John Williams.
Why the hell don’t college football teams play this?
Sizi burdan skyrim dragonborn a alıyoruz efendim 😃
Anthem of the so-called russia
Oh 😮 my body , my spine , my skin
