BRO! I've been debating starting out and I'm literally 3 minutes into your video and already you've made me feel at ease about it. I don't know the name of every plant or piece equipment but I have a passion for it and hopefully I can make it! Thank you.
How's it going Lewis?
Update? :)
I ran a really successful business for 12 months but unfortunately decided to stick with my day job
Mowing 5 yards with a push mower would be awful.
@@Amer1can1nfidelYou gotta start somewhere man. It wont even be that bad if the lawns are small.
Quick tip bro, I got my own business in lawn mowing and I'd suggest that you Whipper snip the edges first then mow the lawns so that the lawn mower can pick up the clipings
nice tip! Thanks
Hey man, respect for being humble and not letting anything keep you back. No politics just work ethic
Nice video and some very good points
I started with second hand stuff but made sure it was good name stuff ie hayter or Honda mowers and 100% sthil stuff
I got rid of my BG86 and got a BR600 blower that was the first thing I brought new back then
6 years down the line and most stuff has been replaced with new gear but for any begginers 100% you can make money with second hand tools
To anyone with goals and dreams just go for it 💚
New subscriber bro keep up the great work
@@macksonslandscaping thank you like wise brother 💚😎
I've been in this industry for many many years. Your awesome just go for it no excuses.
You got it. Goals equipment. Just do a good job You'll go far.
Big respect for this video nice to see a man trying to help motivate other people .God bless you
Great advice here. One other thing is a blower with the leaf vacuum too, the vacuum can save you a lot of time on cleanup, especially for hedge cutting.
One foot in the door, start small! That's right too many people create too much overhead! Mindset is everything, great advice man
I've got the same ambition. With this video as my inspirer, I'm good to go💯
You are spot on mate, I started on a pushbike and using the train, got some funny looks on the train with the hedgecutter! I did buy new at the start but my strimmer & hedgecutter came from Argos and the Titan multi tool from Screwfix. This allowed me to but a van & now a full kit of pro equipment, been self employed for 11 years this year, I'm not rich but comfortable, and that's the way I like it! Good luck to you chap, it's also great to hear a Brit on one of these videos!! 🇬🇧
@@macksonslandscaping. You too mate, nice to see a video I can relate to, as all those in the US seem to have half a million quids worth of kit! 😂. Have a great weekend chap and stay safe.

Greetings! Give thanks for all the info. Truly helpful. Just got a mower and streamer yesterday. Disnt even think about 2nd hand equipment but will check into it today for the other tools you suggested. I live in South London (Streatham) any second hand places you can recommend would be great. Any suggestions about getting the business going if you don't have a car yet?
Impressive introduction, Thanks for your ideas, people will have a beautiful lawn full of green accordingly, I like you video.
Just for who need SEBOSS hardware cloth,1/2,1/4 opening ,19 GA, Hot dip galvanized after welding, double galvanized, strong and sturdy, delicate and beautiful, suitable as gopher wire, protect lawn/garden from all kinds of gophers.
Great advice and very informative. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Good for you, great entrepreneurship. Doing similar myself you should be very proud of yourself.
Love your honesty bro ❤
Hey thanks for the video it's very inspiring.
I plan on starting the same business. I can see that you have the basic equipment and I think that great. My questions are:
1. How do you set a price when a customer call?
2. Do you register your business for tax purpose? How customers pay you?
3. Do you recommend used or brand new equipment for starting?
4. Do you clean up after you mow?
You've got same tools as I do but I don't use honda I bought a Hayter 48 and a STIHL RMA 🤜🏼🤛🏼 pretty good equipment
I used Stihl for 15 years, till they became uneconomical (crazy expensive)
For the past 5 years I've switched ALL my equipment to Tanaka,, (except my mowers-Honda).. Good video.. 👌👍💯
@@macksonslandscaping Excellent,, they are as reliable as Stihl,, and 30-40% cheaper. And service costs are lower too..
Where are you Based??
@@macksonslandscaping OK cool.. How is the landscaping side going,, not much maintenance at the moment,, apart from Leylandii cutting...
I have equipment and ready to start but I don’t have a clue how much to charge
Thank you for your advice 😊 I am due to start out my own gardening buisness next year on a budget and working my way through the minefield of tools I might need 😊. I'm a new subscriber to your channel and thank you very much for putting my mind at ease 😎. Looking forward to watching more of your video content 👌
@@macksonslandscaping Thank you 😊
Great info bro keep up the wrk
#3 piece of equipment you mentioned, what is it and what do you use it for? Thanks for the good video!
thanks alot for the advice!
thank you brother ...you ben helpful.
Fair play to you mate 👊👍
Hey bro,i just have a brush cutter, but am struggling to get a lawn mower, can you please help?
What about some tarps for gathering leaves & branches would you recommend hauling around a few bins or tarps what work best ? ? I’m thinking about investing in my own equipment
Excellent video!
Inspired me to start, cheers mate. How did you get your first clients?
Hi mate great video ! Was wondering how you’d advise on getting the first clients and then building up to achieve grass services as full time career ! Thanks !
Priced up my lawnmower 145 pounds and a grass trimmer for 94 pounds that's £239 from b and q basically 500 quid start up. You can earn upto a grand then have to start the process of registering your business. So can test the waters
Oh and another little tip bud I heard you say you strim after you mow try strimming first then the grass off the strimmer will go on the grass and you collect it when you mow little tip
great vid, cheers from Las Vegas
Great job bro🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you brother 🙏🙏🙏
Real good idea 💡
Great motivational video.
Well done and thank you! :)
Very positive video 🙌💯
What van do you use? Thanks x
Good call mate, you deserve success. Just quick question, how to get clients? May seem an obvious question.
Good job man thank you for the advice 👍🏼👊🏼
Hi just watched your video and it was honest witch is what I found satisfying. Also you kept it real. But I have a few questions. How do you flee on up hedges after cutting them? Also do you need a license for this business as regard starting up. How do you dispose of all the weeds and hedges and cuttings. Thanks look forward to hearing from you.😊
You don’t need a licence to start a garden business in the uk but with regards to waste you’ll need a trade licence to go to any green waste tip
There are a few places that will allow you in but you pay massive amounts per ton
I’m lucky as most of my clients have big gardens and compost areas or bonfire piles
I have an option to start my own lawn care business and start with a park of 14.000 m2 with mainly grass and some trees. What equipment do you recommend? BIg(ger) push mower size etc?
How do you price by just mowing??
great video bro🇹🇹
The small is that mower?
Is insurance mandatory in the uk? Im guessing its not because you didn't mention it as a starting cost.
Also, do you do this under a peddlers license or ?
Very interesting. Glad it worked out for you. Cheers
Strim then mow bro
Bless you bro peace ✌️ xo
Good video. What’s the least u charge for mowing?
What car do use I have a e 150 van is OK for the start..
That it matter if it is a f 150 all more
Great video, cheers.
Awesome video
How much per lawn in£
I like still to
Bro how can I reach you.
5... decent ladder
Try Tri-clone trimmer head on your next heavy weed eating day's, it's a BEAST!
Tangle-free, save time and easy to use.
Nice video bro I’ve been also wanted to get into this business.
I was wondering if it was like a seasonal job or like some period of the year ?
Can you help me out on this one
Thank you
Anyone out there ?

A lawnmower for a garden? 🤷♂️ You put a lawnmower in people’s gardens around here and you’re liable to get run off or even bear up lol.
Nice equipment bud just subbed your channel, check mine out if you get a chance
