Sweet Idea! I got a stash of railroad spikes that I don't know what to do with but I think you just inspired me to make out.
nice one! I just made one of these but without the twist. I am tempted to make another one now :)
I also tried notching the head of the spike like that but didn't have any luck with the bottle I had.
Thanks for the inspiration, I'm making one tomorrow.
Very cool and practical. 👍👍🍻🍻
STEVE ROB thanks for watching Rob!!
sweet !!!
I hope you enjoyed that beer lol
I have a railroad spike bottle opener
How did you make that forge
appears to be some bricks and a torch
Stay thirsty my friend. Oh wait wrong beer :). Cool project! Need a longer wrench. Cool pinstriping on the vise. How long did it take to heat it up the first time?
Tom's Dreamshop Worx thanks Tom, it takes about 7 minutes for my little forge to heat a RR spike, then just a few seconds to reheat
How much time it takes to be hot and red like that...can we do it we an ordinary propane bottle?
Use your hand for leverage and you can open a bottle without shaping it! ;-p
