  • Hello all. In this video I finally get around to building the rear subframe. I have been quite excited about doing this and overall I'm pleased at how it went back together. I just need to fit it to the Mini now :-)
Thanks for watching, don't forget to like, comment and subscribe.
The rear subframe was from ADO Equipment adoequipment.com/
The new fasteners came from this set ebay.us/NX92G0

    Great video!
Looked a bit of a fiddly job but you got it sorted!
Looking forward to seeing it sitting on its wheels soon!

Hi, just watched your video and I have noticed that your rear subframe trunion mounts are the wrong way round.
You have probably followed the fitment by drawn pictures of the subframe parts from Haynes or even Rover's exploded views.
They have always been shown the wrong way round. The longer shouldered side should be at the back nearest the rear closing panel face.
It does make a difference if fitted the wrong way as the mounting holes are about 4mm or so off centre of the bushing hole. This will cause problems getting the bolts in. Seen many that must have been forced in through the floor
Swop them over and you shouldn't have an issue.
Common mistake made when cars have been apart along time.

Thanks! When I was putting it together I remembered something about the trunions and that the parts diagram was wrong. I thought it was related to the bushes but now I know! I appreciate the advice, I'll swap them around before the next video.
