Great job, good to see Matt chipping away in his man-cave. Heat, heat, and more heat.
Mate that liitle hole in arms is to allow the air out when pressing in a new cup, due the cup being a friction fit.
I know Matt will make a good job.
thanks Matt, some interesting info for me to follow
Matt needs to be sponsored by map gas .. his motto should be it can't be stuck if it's liquid . Great how to with the strip down . Will be watching again when stripping mine
Haha he definitely does! His use of heat comes out any time he can but to be fair it gets the job done 👍
@@SimpsonsClassics I have one on order 😂 heat does the trick . Can't wait for this build
Thanks John
A Mini rear sub-frame that isn't absolutely riddled with rust: I'll make a note in my diary !
Haha I know it’s not the original one that’s why.
nice work Matt - keep up the good work
Thanks buddy
I don't get the whole installing a new subframe into a Mini and then not maintaining it with the designated greasing. At least the frame itself is solid though so that's a bonus.
No we don’t understand why that was done either. Maybe it was a mot fail so new parts where bought and just fitted no care with paint etc.
So will it be ready for London 2 Brighton this month? Marc will you be heading down again this year?
Lmao 🤣 maybe not the aim is for imm Germany but also to take it to events early next year. Yes buddy I will be down in Brighton keep an eye on the socials for plans 👍
Smashed that Matt! Cracking work. its not easy t work on something and rememeber to film all the parts ha ha. Proper job, would you not tackle rebuilding the radius arms? i did and was pretty straight forward. keep em coming guys!
I don't have a reemer but I'm sure I know someone that does so it would be a more cost effective solution to rebuild them.
@@mcalvert39 I made a reamer from the old rusty pin. ;) drop me a message ill send on some pics.
Very interesting to see your subframe compared to mine & how you're going about it. I'll probably be doing the same. Im not sure if I'll be able to do the refurbishment on the arms so I'd be interested in where you'd be sending yours 😊. Nice triumph buy the way 😊.
Thanks buddy, Yes we will keep you all posted on how things coming along. Maybe matt could do a video with his other love of that bike...
@@SimpsonsClassics sounds good 👍.
Nice backing music….
Excellent work, Matt. I'm guessing the body panels for the Restomod Mini will be lighter than stock.
Thanks buddy. Yes you have guess right we will update you all as soon as part arrive. Some things are currently being made. 👍
