    Diane thank you so much for showing us this beautiful junk journal! You have given me so many wonderful ideas for using up so many "papers and bits" that we've inherited over the years. Also thanks for sharing the idea of covering an old binder...never thought to do that.

    You did a beautiful job making this journal! It is amazing loved the video part 1 and 2 also.....(loved how it was not covered in distress ink to make vintage) so many of the journal videos I have watched they do. Wish I could make a journal as beautiful as this one so nice and neat.

    I have seen dozens of videos on how to make these junk journals and have found them very interesting. However, I wish SOMEONE would make a video of their having actually USED the journal for journaling!

      If you look at my channel, you will see videos of junk journals and smash books I have actually used. I always wanted to see them used, also, so I decided to show mine.

    I so enjoyed watching the videos you did on this junk journal! This must have been very time consuming, as it shows such careful planning, which BTW ads to it's beauty. I've been trying to create one of these for myself, but every time I start I'm totally overwhelmed and intimidated by the whole thing. Maybe after watching this one, i'll be able to make my own. Thanks again for sharing ~ Leslie

      Actually, a junk journal should not be intimidating, as it is made of "junk"! Just gather some junk mail, leftover scrapbook paper, notebook paper, index cards, envelopes, and have fun! I add some pretty scrapbook paper, too, just because I like pretty things. I like to use pages out of old books, too. You can use anything you like! just make sure you have places to write it you really want to journal in it. (which I do). Have fun!

    I am just getting into Junk Journals and have watched many videos. I have some 3 ring binders I wanted to use and could find nothing using them UNTIL I came across your awesome video. Do you have any tips for aligning the holes and punching correctly? Thank you.

    What a great idea!!! How do get The journaling area so smooth if its attached with a glue stick? Isn’t the writing surface lumpy bumpy?

    One of the best junk journals I've ever seen! Have you ever made one as a Traveler's Notebook insert? I use 5" x 8.25" inserts and would love one made by you. Do you have an Etsy shop?

    A great idea! I love love gingham check! You really filled this one FULL:) May I ask if you covered the journal with paper....or did it already come with the checks? If you covered with paper, what did you use to adhere it? I have a similar notebook, think it was a photo album and this gives me ideas! Thanks for sharing.

    • @DianeHubertPrettyPinkCottage
      @DianeHubertPrettyPinkCottage  7 лет назад +1

      Thank you. I covered the album with scrapbook paper. It was 4 years ago, so I don't remember exactly how I did it, but my normal adhesives are my Scotch ATG tape (Advanced Tape Gun, I think), and also the sticky red tape, or red line tape from the craft stores. The tape itself is clear, but the backing that you pull off is red. It is extremely sticky! Hope this helps.

      Diane H. Thak you for sharing. I loved that you did so much writing in them. I have seen them done scrapstyle, like Joanna Clough, but, I am a writer. I am a KEEPER of stuff to be put INTO scrapbooks, but I NEED to, HAVE to write and wasn’t quite sure how to go about it in a scrap journal.
