Love this! I go to a fairly large church after singing 4 songs before service, on Sunday we are asked to tithe. Sunday evening we are asked, Wednesday night we are asked also so every time we have service we are asked it gets a little annoying I don’t have money 3-4 times. A week to give money, I give what I can. I need a church like Justin 😭
I worked with a guy who was a member of the Worldwide Church of God, ( Herbert W. Armstrong) he paid 30% tithe and also attended a Feast of Tabernacles once a year and stated that if he didn't attend, he would lose his salvation.
Yes, I grew up in that church and we had to tithe all three tithes and keep all the Jewish feast days and holy days. Among many other laws that we were required to keep. It was entirely legalistic and very much a cult. Grace was a foreign concept to me when I was growing up. There was so much control over everything, from the way women and men had to dress to the depth of deleavening our homes for the days of unleavened bread.
Tithe everyone, because your pastors and church staff, who refuse to work a normal job, depend on you for their salary. "It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it." -Upton Sinclair
The amount of heresy and confusion there is in modern Christianity makes me just cling onto Jesus Christ for dear life. Faith alone in HIM and HIS finished work... i reject everything else including my prayer. Its all Jesus Christ.
Most People giving tithe promotes self righteousness putting themselves under the law, feeling blessed not knowing its bringing you under condemnation when not coming from a grace motion , most not knowing we have all this by gods blessings by grace FREELY Eph 1:3. It's a blessing to give its heavily mind set living on earth now being Ambassadors of christ . Praise God for this dispensation of grace given .
