He was the opening act. He sang All I Ask, Defying Gravity and his OG, Room then David Foster called him back for All by Myself (he was told about it during the sound check). He only practiced with David once which was why he was so nervous but he slayed. ❤
FYI. This was an impromptu and he was just doing an opening for this concert however David Foster heard him during the rehearsal and asked him to sing this song.
Please keep in mind the following: The impromptu performance was remarkable, with impeccable vocal delivery, breathtaking high notes, runs, and exquisite vibrato. Notably, the F5 to G5 notes were executed beautifully, and the sustained high-level performance was truly impressive! Great job!
Stell's performance is nothing short of impressive. And what makes it even more incredible is that it was unplanned, not part of the concert repertoire, and an impromptu challenge from David Foster. It's insane to think that he had already sung three high-pitched and vocally demanding songs, and to top it off, he's not in the best condition (he's sick). I had to mention, too, that a day prior to the concert, SB19 had intense performances at an event. And the elephant in the room-he's a man, hitting the piece in female key and doing it cleanly. Stell is a legend in the making!
Wow wow wow! I hope David Foster can ask Regine Velasquez and Katrina Velarde to be one of his special guests someday!!!! I'm sure it's gonna be a big hit too!!!
Not all female belter can reach G5 but Stell says its just a cinch! Actually he had a different line up of songs but the production asked him if he could do All by Myself on that same day.
