Thanks for the tips! Simple. Making a chicken broth right now in my crock pot with your guidance. BTW always liked women from the western US but the accent! Wow. So nice.
If you cut garlic sit for 10mins after cutting it, it gives the super nutrient Aliccin time to activate,,,also need a lid on crock pot, else it will all cook way down, losing a bunch of broth...
I like your vids there very soothing an relaxing thank you for this i gonna try it out next year my deer bones are long gone now 🤣 have a great day dear
Looks some good. We do it with moose and deer .it's super good but take a long time to do it. Now your ganna make me do some, thanks for the share , catch you on the next one
That's awesome! I'm not a cook but that seems fairly simple. I just found out bone broth is good for you about a year ago....lol. Thanks for the video 😁👍
@@MaineGirlOutdoors I make stuff but I dont think its cooking....lol. Sandwiches and stuff from a can isnt cooking to me. My mom makes stuff from scratch like yourself and I never learned to make anything because in our family the women didn't want the men in the kitchen so we stayed out. Its where the hens could heckle amongst themselves and talk gossip....lol. I'm guessing 😂. I make things at times but for one person its kinda hard....lol. Like I can make a pretty dang good burger and steak with the right seasonings. I can make eggs and many other things I just dont know if I call all of what I do cooking....lol. My grandmother was from Oklahoma and she made the best food ever. All for scratch. My mom is a great cook and my sister is as well. They have the artist tallent not me....lol. I just put slop together and call it food....lol. 😂
Finally got to finish a batch of deer jerky today! I put a bit more ground sage to this marinade. Was worried that I put too much. Nah! Really nailed it! I got my marinade recipe from my friend Kirk (God rest his soul!) back in the '90's. I've played with it over the years. I feel that the older and bolder that I get, the better cook I am!
@@MaineGirlOutdoors I'll take a few zip lock bags to work tomorrow. I have a "hunters network" there. The ladies and "gentlemen" (and I use that word loosely! 😏) will appreciate my efforts.
I bet it was delicious.. You remind me of my dad's aunt up on Silver ridge ( Sherman)..She was a homemaker and cooked everything homemade.. She had some sort of machine that made soda pop.. She added whatever flavor and the machine carbonated it.. Every labor day we went up there.. I just loved the place.. They have all passed now, but I need to get up there again and just reminisce..I saw the most moose EVER in my life ,(23) at one time, in a potato field next to their house.. Have a great day..🙂
@@MaineGirlOutdoors Yes, all at the same time. This was back in the late eighties, early nineties.. They routinely would see a dozen or more out there some nights..Silver ridge was a Hotspot for moose, driving into town (Sherman) we would see 8 or 10 every night on the road..
I've never made bone broth. Looks easier than making deer jerky! And... it's that time of the year to make a good batch of deer jerky! But I would like to try my hand at bone broth soon. Looks like it would be nice stock for vegetable soup.
Yes. You can use bones leftover from roasts, whole chicken, etc. They probably won't have as much collagen and "goodies" but you can certainly use bones from leftover meals.
What a wonderful thing, to see in 2023 that not all young beautiful women are wasting their youth , but instead they cook for their families...extremely attractive set of skills, excellent wifes & mothers, true example to follow. Inspirational, to say the least.
Love the wholesome "how-to's" as much as the vids in the woods! You're awesome! I especially love the kids in the background.....keepin' it real!
Glad you don't mind the kids, lol. I can't put out reasonably consistent content by only filming at 11:00PM all of the time, haha!

Thanks for sharing your method, I'll be trying this soon.
Its ok to leave the peel on onions it adds color.garlic too.

Another great video keep em comin
Thank you.😊
I cant wait to try and make some of my own at camp someday.
That makes me hungry ... Looks like a good start of a vegetable deer stew with some homemade biscuits.
Oh yes, homemade biscuits-you betcha!
Thank you for the great videos
Glad you enjoy, thanks for watching!
I'm ready to buy a crockpot! " NO Coffee - No Workee" LOL! True!

It is so good! "Good things come to those who wait" is a good application here, lol. It takes so long yet so worth it!

I really enjoy cooking. How do you eat if you don't cook? lol

Oh that's awesome! Yeah I know what you mean. I pretty much look at a recipe as a loose guide and tinker with it till it's just the way I want it.😅

Sounds like she was an awesome aunt! You saw 23 moose in a field all at once?!?

Thanks for the simple & delicious recipe. Are some bones better than others to use?
Good video. Garlic & onion does not have to be peeled. They add extra nutrients.
Also just snap carrots & celery Wt hands. A bit more simpler 😀
Love the videos and love the accent.
Great video take care 👍👍👍
Thank you, you too!
I use mine for making gravy too!

It's so good and rich! Now that I've read this I want some jerky, lol.
Loved the video but I have to say….I was hoping to hear how the trip to coconut crab island went😜🤗
Ha, ha! I think she is a beach bum. She has been talking of going "to the lake to have a snack on a blanket" for weeks now, lol!
How much water? What's the water to bone ratio?
I love making bone broth! Need to get some more made!
It's so good. 🙂
Why does it need to evaporate? Can i keep the lid on my slow cooker? Also i dont have oven
Excellent
I just found out that the skin of the onions and garlic have a lot of antioxidants benefits
I googled Coconut Crab Island but didn't find anything. I am ready to go there too, where is it? I got my backpack.
🤣❤️
Everybody else throws it in. Halfed. Done.
Is precooked bones OK to use in bone broth?
Yes. You can use bones leftover from roasts, whole chicken, etc. They probably won't have as much collagen and "goodies" but you can certainly use bones from leftover meals.
nice vid , cool accent too
Tu esposo es muy afortunado con todo respeto y esa comida se ve muy rica pero la sal no va conmigo saludos
Thank you for the sweet comment.😊 You can leave the salt out and just use herbs for flavor.😊
😋
That’s a lot of garlic and celery compared to the recipe I’ve used
No such thing as too much garlic in my book, LOL.

Hopefully like my woman self, as a man and father you worked full time, cooked for your family and were a great dad too.
Oh and I hope you’re handsome too.
