    Once it’s done, we put it in the fridge for a few hours. The fat comes to the top and we skim it off cold before freezing the rest.

      Yes! I’m so glad you mentioned this! I completely forgot to add that! After I make mine I wait for it to cool so the fat separation occurs and skim it as well!

    You getting water out of your berkey reminded me to check and see if my daughter refilled ours... and she didn’t 🙄 so I filled it up THANK YOU! I’ll have clean water in the morning because of you! 😂

      We LOVE making bone broth! I’ve never canned it though. I pretty much make it the same way as you do but we keep all our ends and skins on our veggies and freeze them and pull them out when we make broth. I also add turmeric but no to the ginger 😂
