Thanks very much , that hot week in Sept was a Brucy bonus, now back to rain again haha let's hope we get some cracking frosty blue sky days and a bit of snow too this winter
Hi Tracey, Andy and Billy. Good to see you out again. The weather looks awful but a beautiful rainbow 🌈. The views from Sheffleld pike looked stunning. Always love to see the drone footage , although when you pan the camera around you always show a good panoramic view. Thank you. Take care all of you.
Hi Tracey, beautiful start to your fim, the music, drone footage and views and wow great rainbow. Great route with stunning views over Glenridding and Ullswater, my wife and myself did it last year but the oppersite round and really enjoyed it. Love the way you explain the routes you are doing as you go and ofcourse the map section at the end which is really helpful. You got a decent day with high cloud so the views were beautiful. Thanks for sharing, take care
Fabulous (although the weather could have been kinder to you at the start!). We just booked a week in Patterdale for spring '24 ( you have to book early to get owt in that part of the lakes!) so will add this to the itinery.
Lovely walk. You make me determined not to let the weather put me off when I visit next month! I have all the right wet weather gear and I'm not afraid to use it!! I shall be trudging around the Southdowns regardless!!
A beautiful walk with superb views from Heron Pike and Glenridding Dodd. I usually go the opposite way round to you Tracey. For some reason I got it in my head it was a bit steep coming down from Sheffield & Heron Pike but you made it look easy so next time I'll do it your way. Thanks for posting another excellent video.
Great video Tracey! I've done this route, really enjoyed it, except the descent by Mosedale beck. Well, it was very rough! You've had a beautiful rainbow following you..😊
Thank you Andrea, I was wondering if that route by Mossdale Beck had improved but obviously not haha even harder now rhe trees have come down I think, thanks once again and atb Andrea
Great video Tracey, just love watching these routes you take which are new to me. Ive never walked from Glencogne but it looks a lovely path and route to the back of Sheffield Pike. Ive ascended from Glenridding when Ive done it and but its bad enough ascending even with the stunning views towards Helvellyn but to come down that way in the wet must have been pretty challenging. Mind you i dont expect to see you and Andy doing the norm any more haha. Thanks for the map time and the different routes around Seldon Seen. It makes so much easier when you explain your route and why 🙂 Cheers Tracey
Glencoyne Car Park was chocker a few weeks back as I drove past there were people galore by the shore of Ullswater Lake 😮 great walk this up on to Sheffield Pike & what a rainbow 🌈 👏 😊 the views of Ullswater were terrific & the drone captured some great footage ❤ glad the weather improved 👍 don't anyone say we are short of water!! It's been another wet day here in Bolton & it's got the making of a few more miserable wet days ahead too😢 enjoyed map & scissors time & a great vlog with you Andy & of course Billy Bob and 🐶🐕❤
Hi Tracey, Wonderful scenery, wonderful views as usual, was wondering when it was filmed? Did I miss you mentioning it? If not, any chance of persuading you to include a film date in future vids? I have a story for you, we were at Glenridding on 8th September. At about 4:45pm a group of 8 or so lads were in the information centre enquiring how to get to Striding Edge. They were dressed in shorts, tee-shirts, trainers and deck shoes, no water, maps, torches or compasses. The lady in the centre tried her best to talk them out of it but off they went. No point in us trying to talk them out of it, teenage testosterone was in charge. We often wondered during our holiday if they all made it safely. Aged 17 when I was indestructible I can imagine going for it. Cheers Graham
THANKS Graham I think this was bank Holiday end of August. Let's hold the lads made it ok. Its a familiar occurrence on these hills. We passed an Asian group at about 245pm on a very wet winters day at Grains Gill enquiring on the path to Scaffel Pike , zero visibility and dressed in trainers , no gear and due to get dark in 40 mins , we tried to advise them but they carried on.There was a coach waiting in the car Park for them all , couldn't believe it really. We did see 2 turn back behind us. Also remember a guy asking me at the hole in the wall if it would be OK to do Steiding Edge without any crampons , in very thick snow and ice 😄 he also turned back. Mind you when I first moved here I was a total novice. Atb Graham
Hi Tracey,
Another great video, keep them coming ❤
Thanks Gary 😊
Great views of the lake on that one. Change of season on the way and change of conditions. Best wishes out there.
