I actually loved the “night mode” shot you took. I feel like if it was actually applied, that picture would have lost all the cool mystery and ambiance it captured in favor of introducing a few extra colors into people’s clothing.
This is my iPhone, I've been using it for one year and liked pretty much the experience, the device is fast, very small and if you are not adicted to smartphone the battery will last one day with no issues.
Most of us have forgotten it's not a computer 😅
I have had this phone since 2021. I bought a battery case for 20 dollars, and not it lasts more than a 15 pro max. You want an iPhone now and you don't want to feel ripped off by Apple? get this one. It's incredibly fast yet.
recently dug my old iPhone SE 2020 out and now I am using it as my main phone. Its very fun and I agree, pressing the home button is very nice. Also, the nostalgic design reminds me of better days.
It’s nowhere near old yet.

I have just received an iPhone 15 after using one of these for the last 3 years! I will be keeping this as my iPod for day to day use as it has my full collection on and means I don’t have to use up the battery on the new phone.
just bought it and its feb 2024 woohoo, home button ftw
Best $399 I ever spent bought a wireless car charger and home charger so battery not an issue. With the money I saved over buying the ridiculously priced $1500 iPhone,I bought an iMac air M1 for $729 from Costco with a two-year warranty included and choice of color. 💻📲
As a construction worker that breaks phones often this thing has been a godsend. The almighty cloud and cheap prices of the se unit keeps me going strong. Don't need a case either. I'm in love.

Thank you for review. Interesting and good to know as I m think to get it refurbished as a backup phone.Cheers from Toronto,Canada
Currently on a iPhone 15 pro but I must say this iPhone SE was my favorite of all time. Good memories with this little beast !!
i'm from brazil and here iphones are really expensive, so i've had an se since november 2020 and got it replaced from apple in 2022 bc there was a problem in the lightning port which they couldn't solve. i appreciate newer iphones but my phone is what i can afford so i plan to keep it as long as possible
I still use my iPhone 8. Works well for me.
It might be the deal for those who don't want to leave this day and age of design. But if the homebutton isn't the reason you are trying to go for these, I would rather say: Try finding a in well shape taken iPhone 11 Pro. Those are usually also about the same price if not 30-50 bucks more used. You get a great OLED panel and the general modern looking iPhone design.
I’ve had the iPhone 6, 6S, 7 and now the 2020SE. All those were refurbished thus cheaper to buy. I use a battery case charger to extend battery life and I’ve had no issues. I prefer the home button and can’t see why Apple have removed it on their newer phones. I don’t need a high tech phone but I’m looking forward to the buying a 2022SE.
same i prefer ‘old is gold’ iPhones,i still have 6plus and two se 1st gen with me😊,for daily work and usage no problem at all..

Thanks for making this video. This phone works great for the low key user. I don’t have socials or play games and don’t really care about the latest and greatest cameras. I just wanted a phone to get the job done and not pay so much. I’m one of those people who never upgrade, ever. SE 2 works fine, get a battery replacement from Apple if it depletes to unfavorable levels and you’ll be good. Plus, I missed the home button.
Well I get many compliments on the camera quality from a lot of high end android users so… I come from a low/mid range android.
@@sodapopjam Yeah, people are way too invested to having as many and as big as possible lenses on their phones, and it's all thanks to social media pressure. Regular people don't care, because even cheap Xiaomi phones can take great pictures now.

It feels like such a retro device already in 2024, but still works smoothly and does all the everyday stuff you want to do, for me it's the perfect phone, minimal, easy to carry around, reliable. I leave other stuff for bigger devices, nothing beats having a small phone that copes with everything you need like email, banking, listening, calling, texting, other apps of course, uber, etc
I bought a refurbished se 2020 with 88% battery health.
I have to say it is much better than I expected. The battery isn't that bad, maybe because I don't play games or music on this phone. The screen is large enough, feels small, nice loud audio, text size is large enough and in general it's so much easier to use than original se.
I am using this phone for last two years and I must say it works great...Its performance is smooth and fast...only drawback of this phone is its short battery life
Watching on my iPhone SE 2020.
I got a new SE 2022 for $49 for a new work phone. I'm happy with it. My personal phone is a pixel 8, which i like much better. But, the SE is a solid value.

Still very important as the only iPhone with an LCD screen you can get new (SE3) if you’re one of the 10% of people who can’t use OLED due to PWM.
Have you tried it with the new 15? I’m 26 and had to return my Pixel 7 AND a Galaxy S23 Ultra for this exact same stupid reason. I tried the 15 Pros at the Apple Store and didn’t really notice anything. Maybe a little strange feeling, but nothing like the quick-onset headaches and nausea I had with the others.
@@jasonhondakker9231i don't know if there will be a difference long term. Afaik Iphone displays are literally made by samsung, so it might have the same effect on you. I'd just chill in the store for maybe half an hour and see if it gives you headache or anything.
@@jasonhondakker9231 I have been asking around wether the 120mhz display helps with PWM. You think so?
what's PWM and why does it affect OLEDs
@@posthumousforgiveness. Pulse width modulation and it's technology that adjusts an OLED displays brightness. So far only Chinese brands care about this, since I've really only seen Xiaomi and phones like Oppo having the PWM frequency really high (higher PWM means better, because your eyes then can't subconciously see it, hence it can't give you a headache), while brands like Samsung and Apple don't care at all. You can see PWM on couple videos, when people record reviews, how the screens flicker. That's PWM and what it does, it can't really be seen with bare eyes, as in your mind doesn't really process it, but some people subconciously do see it, and those are the ones who have migraines from watching screens for too long.
Best phone I’ve ever had, gonna switch to SE3 when this gets discontinued.

I have been intruiged checking out the iOS cosmos without going all in financially, but still getting an iPhone that is recent and decent enough to have a comparable iOS experience to the current phones. I am not willing to get a super old iPhone or a relatively recent one for more than 200 bucks, if I just want to check it out and see if I can imagine using iPhones as my future driver.
I have been using Android since my first smartphone and never felt like missing someone, except for something like air tags, which I would definitely like to use.
So would the SE 2020 suffice for my needs?
If you don't play games on it, go for it, because battery seems to be the only issue and it's actually lasts long enough with average use.
That's what I did and my Pixel 6a and Pixel 7 are still in their boxes, chilling, while after a year, still using my SE2. Recently got the SE3 and I would recommend the SE3 for not much more to get the newer/faster chip, 1 more gig of RAM, 5G antenna, and the improved battery life. I love the SE2 but the battery life is really bad.
I love my GEN three SE.
I just ordered it after my oooold iPhone 7's microphone became glitchy & my wifi stopped even being able to be turned on. I was ok replacing the battery & the lightning port, but the latest 2 things that broke would set me back 90 euro and I could get an SE 2020 for 169 euro (used, but ok.).
I'm considering getting this phone. I use smartphones for basic needs (messenger, emails, web browsing, etc), I prefer compact devices and the fingerprint ID. My only concern is finding one with a good battery health.
I have the se2 and I fully agree with the camera statement. Battery wise, it was fine in the beginning but now it’s 80% wish is quite noticeable.
Hoping the SE 4 is good for me but if not- I’ll look to get a used se3 then I guess

I think the iPhone SE is great phone to use because I’m still using mine I got it’s goood phone so far 😊
i got mine last month for free lol. so nice!
I want to replace my SE 1 as it’s basically dying, has no updates anymore and I’m only using it as an iPod, because the music sounds notably louder than with Sonys or Huaweis. Found a SE 2, secondhand, for €199 and 256GB, which is more than enough for my extensive music library. My daily driver is a Huawei P40 pro, which is great, but for music I need a third party app, so for most of my music listening I prefer an Apple device…
Great phone had it for nearly 2 and a half years
"This day and age" lol talking like the home button wasn't a thing until 4 years ago
I just changed from an Iphone 2020 SE to an iphone XR. and while the SE2 has a faster processor than the XR, I gotta say the XR performs just as well, has way better speakers, sounds fuller and heaps louder, bigger screen and face ID. with face ID, I feel it has pros and cons. sometimes one is better than the other depending on the situation. all in all I feel like the XR is an upgrade over the SE 2020 even though the SE 2 is newer.

Thanks for the feedback! What timestamp was the distracting music in?
The volume is really low on outgoing calls when it's on max. Does anyone have this same issue?

EXACTLY! this fetish for bezels-less design…
Facebook and Instagram do everything between one to three megapixels. So the camera quality on the iPhone SE is not gonna be a problem. It’s really only a problem for pixel peepers or those who want to crop into an image. Outside of that, there’s nothing bad about it. I find it funny that people complain when these things used to literally be the norm for God knows how many years a lot of the cameras stuff people complain about is just getting out of hand. Stupid.

If you can get past the outdated design and smaller battery, the SE 2020 even now is a great budget iPhone. Touch ID is such an underrated feature and one huge reason I love the SE 2 and 3. You have to look at the SE 2 for the value it gives you too. You get a premium build quality, great speakers, Touch ID, wireless charging, updates for another 2-3 years, decent cameras and access to all the Apple features. All at a relatively cheap price as you could find one for $100 or slightly more. At that price, I'd say for everything you get it's a great value. One suggestion I'd say is get a good battery case for it because it'll double the battery life and allow you to get through even heavy use days.

Also It thermal throttles when doing simple tasks I can feel it heat up quickly. I think the problem with this phone is it is thin so it creates a problem with heat. Also the battery does not last long after a year there is a noticeable difference in longevity, I had this iPhone for 3 years and now it last 1 hour.

And the iPhone 11 is now 4 years old. It's outdated and not worth buying either.
I think we can all agree compared to android equivalents this represents pretty awful value for money. Incredibly dated tech apart from the cpu. Poor screen, poor battery, old design, No 5G etc etc.
Who's gonna tell him about the SE 3?
I just replaced my Se (2016) that I bought new in 2016. I had replaced it’s battery twice (myself) over the years.
This time I purchased the Se 3 (2022). I was able to get the Se3 with 256gb storage for less than nearly any other 5g phone. I carry my music collection on device.
I spend time in the rockies and on the open road which makes streaming services unavailable and useless. Besides that, music streaming services are ripping off the artists. The world was a much better place for real musicians before the internet. Streaming has killed the record business, and robs musicians worse than the labels ever did.
The battery is rarely a problem for me.
I turn off 5g unless it’s really needed, and I’m not a gamer. I get from a day and a half to two days on a full charge.
I much prefer the home button over anything else, and I like the relatively small size of the device.
It’s a phone after all. I miss the 4” iPhones. Smaller is better. If you need a larger screen, that’s what desktops, iPads, and MacBooks are for.
