What soft top is on tube sock? I want a simpler soft top for my tj that could fit with a yj sport roll bar so if the soft top doesn’t mount on the roll bar would be good

Fred please explain to us diesel jeepers the difference between the Cummins 2.8 in tube sock and the VM motori 2.8 out of the crd libbys. if you are aware of any cause I can dyno my libby and put down 230 hp and about 400lbft out of a tuned and k&n filtered crd cause I'm a little shocked that cummings only makes 170hp and 270lbft ?

Do people realize this is not a Dirt Every Day episode? Apparently not. This is an "Extra", which means extra content we get on top of what we used to get before there was Motor Trend on Demand. Why do people complain more the more free content they get? I am confuse.

I'm not saying they don't care but unlike most people making videos on youtube (my self included). MT actually have crew when they shoot these videos so you would think dodgy audio wouldn't be a problem

Don't get me wrong I love Dirt Every Day but if this is what I'm missing out on then I'll never pay for Motor Trend On Demand. You guys should do a 3 day free trial so we can see what content is there, I would probably buy it if there is good content

It's the ISF2.8 Chinese engine.

Why doesn't any one run a spool in the front axle if you have manual locking hubs? Keep in mind only using 4wd off road.

Whether a SWB or LWB, larger engine, longer suspension travel or even changing the tyres etc, except for the conditions the cars are going up against, they are practically the same and that bores me to tears. However, It is good to know what modifications are needed though. I like your adventures Frederick, more please.
The 2.8 diesel has been available for over 10 years outside of North America

I think some of these commenters are forgetting what these Dirt Every Day Extra videos are all about. These aren't full episodes. These are EXTRAS. Similar to the extra behind the scenes footage you used to get on DVDs.

Take that diesel and put it in the camp jeep. Get rid of the spool for a selectable locker and you have the real ultimate vehicle.
When the 3.9 in my Dak dies I'm swapping in a 2.8 for sure and drive it forever.
The white one is running in the water in ep 54, go there to check it out! My personal vote goes to the white tube sock was it called? I love the stick and boo 4cyl but I have an XJ 96 lift and its the inline 6 so I am already spoiled. I have owned three XJs and I am wanting to drive a rubicon, TJ or YJ just to see if they are as cool since I cannot get the XJ for much longer in a newer body style since the rounded body is not the same to me. I want rugged jeepsters and I may cross over the jeeps to the real jeep and want to know if its worth it> because I am a Jeep girl and once you go jeep you don't go back, just forward beyond where the pavement ends. That is where I am at...

Why though? Apparently it also means not moving the camera. It might as well be a podcast. Geez, get a close up of at least the stuff he is talking about rather than just walking and pointing. There are channels by no name individuals that have a far higher production value on youtube.

You guys should keep these extras in the can until you're ready to follow up quickly with a video of some lengthy rewarding action. We get a concept car video( I was really hoping to see that thing put through its paces instead of a drive off fade out), Avalanche update and now this?!
...guys, its Dirt Every Day EXTRA. It's not going to be that long or have a lot of offroading in it. They have to crank these out every day; there's a lot of people expecting a video that they can't give.
How is Cummins managing to get so little power and torque out of that engine?

Mark Harvey Because it's only a 2.8 and stock. At that power level it should run for a long long time even being pushed hard. You could probably make double that power pretty easy, but then it wouldn't last.
