Murder, treachery, and a terrible secret... David Hughes' new graphic novel takes us on a very sinister seaside holiday
On holiday in Suffolk, a boy and his dog discover a World War II pillbox half buried on a deserted beach. When he returns the next day with his parents, the pillbox has disappeared. They learn a pillbox had been there and a boy had once been found in it, dead...
1945, another boy, another dog, the same pillbox … and an American serviceman from the local base. Murder, treachery, a terrible secret…
David Hughes’ second graphic novel is a haunting ghost story - dark, disturbing and - as always with Hughes - stunningly drawn.

Nice teaser - love your enthusiasm and I also love Davids work - especially as he goes through this menopause - hope he comes through it uncured!!
looks beautiful! big fan of his work! as a young comics artist what an inspiration.
This looks interesting... I'm intrigued!
This sounds like something I'd really like. I don't mind "dark and troubling" in my reads. And the artwork looks incredibly eye-catching. Sign me up!
........The work of D.H. stands above so many others- it's so fresh and original.
Looks amazing mate. I've never read his stuff before but seen it on the shelf. Always looks like it might give me bad dreams, but I thrive on bad dreams...

That looks like a beautiful book indeed. Please put me in your hat.
Wow this book definitely sounds intriguing. Would definitely love to win this to find out what happens.
I've never read any David Hughes but this video has really intrigued me, the characters look like Martin Amis characters, hideous and compelling in equal measure!
