    It is so amazing. This video is watched in half an hour, but I need half a year to digest it.

      He's a great player too, Not in a Oscar P sense But John Lewis for example ruclips.net/video/yDdwQFJL-dw/видео.html&ab_channel=LOFTmusic They both play without ego most of the time, tha't isn't easy being at peace an fully attentive with the sonority at the present moment like an toddlers first time pressing a key without the previous knowledge that a sound will appear, the fascination never ends and that's a deep skill , Erik Satie had that too,

    Tony, you took the intimidation out of reharming for me. Thank you for the hard copies too! I look forward to your other videos on this topic, as well as others.

    The constant structure is synonymous with the parallel movement of chords as pointed out in "the Jazz Harmony Book" but he uses quartal voicings to illustrate it.

    Hello, this is probably not about certainly this video but isn't more comfortable to play Cmaj7 on RH and LH using 1245 instead of 1235?

    I have a NASA t-shirt that whimsically says, "Rocket Scientist" on the front. When people jokingly ask, "Are you really a Rocket Scientist"? I answer by saying, "Oh no, I study jazz piano. It is, for sure, as complicated as Rocket Science!" 🤔😂

    Hi Tony, great video! In fact, all your videos have given me insight into the process of arranging from a lead sheet. I have a question about the reharm rules from your pdf file. You wrote that "Any II-7 may be substituted with a V7 built on the same root." What does this mean? If I have a Gm7, I can replace this with a G7 (and vice versa)? If so, that means I can have a chord progression going Gm7-G7-C?

    • @TonyWinston
      @TonyWinston  4 года назад

      Yes gm7 can become G7 but not vice versa. At least not according to this rule. A better example is... Dm7-G7-C becomes D7-G7-C

    Hey Tony! I feel really bad getting so much value from this lesson of yours. Do you have a PayPal links where I can send you a cuppa of coffee? You really should set one up. I've got one on my channel and it's nice to be appreciated. 😊

    Am I the only naive person that at first thought “fly me to your room” was a real standard? 😂

    • @ThePianoMan1953
      @ThePianoMan1953 4 месяца назад

      Yes! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 When I was in music school, we re-named or changed the words to many standards. "Strangers in the night; you think we're strange now, but we're stranger in the night." 🤣🤣
