@@ulaB yeah it’s going through that process now. Takes a few days. YT won’t let me trim the video until it’s cleared up. Just more fun YT restrictions. 🤪
You´re a Radio DJ? PLEASE! Check out their song "Pump It"! I need to know if you would have played it on the radio! I just NEED to know if you´d have played it on the Radio. If it´s "Radio Compatible"
Love that you picked the live version! You should still totally watch the official video they did - if you don't want to react to it then definitely watch it on your own time. It's actually fun to do it this way around, I think. Something different. They're not trying to look like anyone in particular here with the wigs, other than themselves in the video ;) And the video and this song is what made them go viral at the beginning of the pandemic, so definitely worth checking out, to see where this current success with the then new singer, Nico, started :D Looking forward to more Electric Callboy :)
After my last EC vid, everyone told me I just HAD to check out a live show. From what I've seen, their official videos are funny as hell so I'll definitely need to catch up on those, too. Thanks!!!
The wigs and outfits are from the original video, they do costume changes during the live shows for the most iconic styles (besides Hypa Hypa those are for Pump It! and We Got The Moves). The song is all about a guy having a crush on that girl he sees dancing at the club. The title referrs to the (in)famous 1994 hard-trance song Hyper Hyper by German techno trio Scooter, while the "döp döp döp dödöpdöp döp" segment referrs to the 2003 Scooter song Maria (I Like It Loud), which itself is partly a cover of the 1997 song I Like It Loud by Marc Acadipane presents Marshall Masters feat. The Ultimate MC. For something a little different, check out their song Fckboi feat. Conquer Divide (CD is an all female American based multi national metalcore band). Besides the official music video, they have an official live one too: Live in Denver, CO (US Tour 2023).
See, I have a hard time enjoying dance music so I’m soooo lost when it comes to the references. No didn’t even realize the last song of theirs I did was a cover song until my wife pointed it out! Thanks for the recommendation! I’m on it!!!
5:32 "Yes, I could have done a lyric video or the official video, but where the hell is the fun in that?" You really should react to the music videos with this band. The official videos are where all the extra fun is kept.
A touch of sarcasm always thrown in for good measure. Last time I did EC everyone told me I needed to watch them live! Maybe I’ll just do double vids for the next one and fire up live and OG vid. Hmm. 🤔
You missed their US Tour this fall 2023, I saw them in Denver in September at 3,600 capacity venue was sold out. In fact, all their US tour was sold out. Not loudest, biggest, or most intense concert I have been to... but easily the most fun!! Lots of people dressed in 1980's workout gear and bowlcut wigs. Mix between moshing/ jumping, dancing in crowd just like their songs. Ending with 'We Got The Moves' (check that one out next IMO) in their concerts is great, had everyone walking out with a smile on their face!! next video by EC, probably 'Pump It' or 'Hypa Hypa"?
Yeah, I really missed the boat on them until a few weeks ago. I first heard of them from TankTheTech when he did his video about the horror that was the Blue Ridge Rock Fest... which I decided to NOT go to at the last minute (only 4 hours from my house). I guess he was their tour manager. Not sure what's next but I've quickly learned that I need to do official videos as they are insanely fun to watch.
Note quite where I started but definitely where I was last night! I did look up US dates and sadly there's only 6 shows announced so far... the nearest is 700 miles away.
@@ReactionsThatRock OK, second song is, like, almost the first? 😂 And yeah, US is biiig! Most of my memories about our American road-trip are about endless roads, dark roads, desert roads... Good times!
@@Anuta6675 to be honest, the first time is usually awkward so yeah, second makes a better first. 🤪 We have a LOT of empty space here. I love a good road trip but I’d rather have some closer shows. I’m lazy in my older years.
Great reaction man, and I have to say your comments about Steel Panther were hilarious and on point. I think it's cool you picked the live version and as others have said, check out the official video when you get the chance, it's hilarious.
As the official music video was the band then called Eskimo Callboy introduced Nico the clean singer and that plus "shock" of the change from sweet cleans to dirty vocals was a shock The video has some excellent bits including the group of RUclipsrs doing a dance routine at the end to the last chorus I do recommend it. Plus the seven other covers involving other bands / artists of this song. You mentioned Steel Panther have you seen the Italian band Nanowar of Steel and their take on a Steel Panther type song called "Uranus" (I had never heard of Steel Panther before) and they get every smutty gag in it that they can LOL ruclips.net/video/OSWszdSHkyE/видео.html
Oooh I think I’ve heard Nanowar of Steel mentioned maybe once or twice but was given no context. Sounds like something I really need to check out! Same with the official Hypa Hypa and all the versions! I’ve got work to do!
@@ReactionsThatRock They are an Italian parody metal band so each song is often in a different style They have been going 20 years and are amateurs - they have serious jobs but they are funny and there are layers too I call them nerdcore.
I know you shot this in Feb 24. Since that time, EC has been on Sirius XM's Octane channel. Too bad you missed the NA part of the tour. I wasn't able to go, but they filled the venues and they have blown up. For a lot of BTS videos, check out Tank the Tech's channel as he was their Tour Manager for the NA tour.
I actually first heard of them from Tank the Tech as I was watching his vids regarding the Blue Ridge Rock Festival disaster (it's the closest festival to my house). I REALLY want to see them live and I'm happy to hear Octane has been giving them airplay. I think these guys are just going to get bigger and bigger... and I'm totally here for it!
Great reaction, but In my little unimportand opinion: you should watch first the original vid of EC because the breakdowns are not surprising to you when you saw the live version already and their vids have mostly hilarious images. EC said they have already ideas of the vids during the writing process. The North America tour is happen in May, Toronto and Silver Spring are already SOLD OUT. Check their website🤞
Noted! Everyone's opinion is important here... it's just that mine is more importanter. Seriously though, after my first EC vid, everyone told me I should check out a live song. Figured it made sense! I'm hoping they add more dates to the US Tour. There's only 6 shows and the closest to me is in Baltimore and that's a 7 hour drive for me each way (and... it's Baltimore!).
@@ReactionsThatRock Of course it's your channel!😁 Oh 7 hour drive one way is really a lot. And after the gig you'll be feeling wasted. Happy overwhelmed but wasted. So it will be difficult to drive 7 hours back. And we know about the American work life / day off. " ...and it's Baltimore" What does that mean?
Great reaction 👍💕They are fantastic! 🤩 You have to see the off vid because it's crazy even if you don't make a reactionvid pf it. You will get the wigs and clothes. They change outfits out throug the live shows 😉

@@ReactionsThatRock Do it! I saw over the years a lot of musicians of very different genres. (Bruce Springsteen, Guns'n Roses, Bon Jovi, Gary Moore, Pink, Rod Steward, .... and of course many German ones), but honestly EC are the best imo.
For EC it's worth doing the official videos first as they're amazing and the live performances often reference the videos. "We Got The Moves" and "Pump It" are good options. For me, Steel Panther is a band that is just a parody of hair metal. That's their entire identity. EC parody various times and genres, but that's not their identity. Or to put it more harshly, Steel Panther are a joke (and that's fine, it's fun), EC make jokes.
“Dirty” and “Unclean” vocals are actually industry jargon to define the sound in the same way the other singer in the band has “clean” vocals. Those aren’t my words… those are the words the music/recording industry uses to explain what’s happening... Much the same way they use the word “gain” to describe decibel levels.
