I played the entire level without realizing the the hose and vacuum had alt fires, even though it spells it out in plain text on the sign. Felt real smart for that one.

I learned that street cleaners go exactly the same as your walking speed, so doors aren’t actually much of a problem when bringing them to the secret door. It’s actually rather comforting for some reason
It felt to me like they were a little faster? Like I had to slide sometimes to ensure I had enough distance from them, but maybe you're right.

@@DumpsterManVODs it feels that way due to turning corners. The ai of street cleaners take the fastest route to you while you turn the corner at a human’s pace. If you are just barely outside of its flamethrower distance it will virtually take the same path as you and won’t catch up

A real life pressure washer is a lot more satisfying to use but the games can’t mimic the literal feeling of the pressure needed to use as you clean a line of stained ground or wall.
Yeah real pressure washers have resistance and and heft to it, you can feel the vibrations of every stream effortlessly annihilate all stains, too bad they’re somewhat niche and costly (especially the water)
42:52 In the hopes that wires don’t get crossed and someone tries this in real life, don’t use water to extinguish a fire that has oil around it or fire burning on top of the oil. It will not only not extinguish the fire but make it spread even more and burn more things.

So basically theres a green book in the bookshelf upstairs which when you interact with, a secret generator can be disabled with the railgun. After you do so, the april fools ghost drones appear and you can suck em up with the vacuum. after you get them all return to the generator and a passage should be opened allowing you to bring the red skull to the tunnel and open the door

@@DumpsterManVODs i found the bookcase after cleaning the library, after cleaning everything all the surfaces became super reflective and the bookcase the secret is behind is off color to the rest of the wall. cool secret and it turns into a luigis mansion level

You can 'cheat' this a little by reaching the checkpoint at the waterfall arena, beating it, then taking the red skull back and hitting 'checkpoint' in the menu. This will send you back to the waterfall arena with red skull in hand to use at the secret area.

there's a legimate way to get that skull (how it was intended, not the checkpoint)
you have to do a luigi manion reference thing to get the red skull legitmately, i'll say it in short.
you go to the right of the windows (from inside perespective) and there's a green book that you have to pull with your vacuum, it'll do a short spin and you'll have to enter where there'll be a small space with a closed door and a tesla that needs to be powered.
once you power it, the light go out and there's a bunch of ghost cool lookin drones that you have to suck in with your vacuum. after you're done, go back to the secret shelf door and there'll be a shortcut to the pond area. and boom get the red skull to the end.
(this also unlocks a special thing in sandbox to spawn those ghost drones)

I had a bug when I did my 7-S where some of the fires from firestarter didn't go out... so while cleaning the l found the only place that has water was on fire
THIS HAPPENED TO ME TOO,I also had a bug where the cave In the waterfall didn't open,so I had to restart the level to enter
firestarter is buggy in the least likely ways possible. Oiled doors open a little too much and fire stays after checkpoints but I can cover half the stage in gasoline with no weapon cooldowns and not notice any fps drop.

For the record, loading checkpoint is not the intended method for the Agnes Gorge Trail secret, there's a green book that you can use the vacuum on, that area of book shelf will spin, there will be an electric railcannon switch behind it that spawns ghosts in the main room, vacuum the ghosts, go back to the room behind the bookshelf and there will be a path to the outside area.

neat thing about the Firestarter: if you dash and use it at your feet you have one of the fastest travel methods in the game
Btw, crushing the body parts into a fine paste, and then spraying away the paste is a legit strategy, and it's what I used.

The reason why you have to get a Streetcleaner is specified in the Lore book in 7-2. The author specifies that the fire has to burn hot enough to melt steel to burn the supernatural leaves in the maze. The Firestarter's oil doesn't burn the leaves because it's.. well.. oil, which is about 300°C short.
P.S. You can just Slam Storage jump over to the 3rd arena, beat it, and use the Whiplash to pull a Streetcleaner to the door
You CAN take the red skull. On one of the huge bookshelves, in the hall, on the 2nd floor, there is a green book. If you vacuum it, you will find an electric generator and a locked gate. Shoot the generator with a rail cannon, do a thing (you'll understand what to do). After you do a thing, the gate unlocks. You can get the red skull, go through the gate, and get into the pond room. You can now go to the big door behind the waterfall
in the library theres a green book, which if you suck with the vacuum you pull it, opening a secret passage, when you hit the two tesla coils it turns the level into luigi mansion, which if you finish sucking all ghosts, you unlock drone haunting cheat

I want to experience it myself before watching other peoples reaction to it but after playing the level 3 different times the cave behind the waterfall never loaded for me.
I did not have any cheats on during any of my 3 different attempts.
I did everything to unlock the secret entrance, only to realize I had cheats on and had to redo it all 🤦
Beat 5-s, then the tunnel behind the waterfall will open

Edit: I had played it before but when going back to play it again to see if I needed to have played it recently for the cave to open I found that it didn’t register that I had played it before.

26:47 okay,so I keep seeing straight lines in the tunnel, so I have to ask: did people just forget they can dash-jump? You would think that would be good for covering distance.
I dash jumped plenty of times to pick up momentum wdym? I literally did it right before your timestamp in fact (26:23). Once you have momentum though slide b-hopping is way more stamina efficient. The only other reason I'd say I didn't dash/slide jump down the whole tunnel is just cause I got bored and wanted to mix it up, there wasn't any particular strategic reason.

I didn't find em mostly too bad, but the one on the balcony with the idols messed me up a bit just cause of awkward level geometry, I kept getting stuck on the desks.

So since you CHEATED, you didn't actually finish the level legitimately. Therefore you have to do it AGAIN.

I do really enjoy his playthroughs of Ultrakill.
But it’s sometimes difficult to enjoy not just you but other Ultrakill players, when they cheat instead of exploring a secret level or don’t read text that has the useful information about the next step in the game.
If you watched this vod and don't feel like I tried my best to do it legit given what I knew at the time, despite people literally *begging* me to cheat, I don't know what to tell you, with hindsight it's easy to say "well just go to the exit" but 1) I didn't want to leave the level, and 2) never before has the exit to a level had *more info* on what to do next. I also explored the entire tunnel and secret area without using cheats until I was literally softlocked. I've now seen the intended way to do the secret, and I'm telling you with 100% certainty I wouldn't have discovered this on my own within the time I had allotted for this stream. I'm sorry you're unhappy with how I did it, but I feel this assessment that I 'cheated' is unfair given that I gave a significant effort to do it 'legit' and only cheesed it once I felt I had exhausted all my options (whether true or not).

After reading your comment I now see that maybe the way I think about exploration is different from other people, as I found the green book after looking for any books that could be pulled out using the green arm, before going through any doors to play the secret level.
