    Good to see you back out on the foxes, a long spell by the sound of it - but very successful.

    I’m in Australia and there is not a chance in hell that I’d climb up on top of a haystack, I’d get bitten for sure.

      I’m in Western Australia and I totally agree with you. No way will I walk through long grass once the weather gets warmer. Haystacks? Oh heck no!

    Great shooting Mark, nice work on the Foxes! 👏
    So with having auxilliary IR in the way you didn't use the IR or LRF on the 007SP-LRF?
    Would've been nice to see its vertical LRF splash ranging out to the furthest of these foxes; maybe next time. 👍
    Cheers. Russ

      Yea I could have mounted the ir to the side 🤦🏻‍♂️ I didn’t use it as I have an lrf on the thermal spotter 😆

    Hi Mark, I went full thermal over a year ago and since then I’ve shot over 20 Foxes on two small local farms, but I haven’t seen a single one since I started on them again at the start of the month ! I’ve been told that in some areas they recon that the Foxes have been wiped out by using Thermal and NV, but you still seem to have plenty about ?🤔🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    • @jaseforster1184
      @jaseforster1184 Год назад

      They’ve wiped the foxes completely out round by me and the badger cull has wiped out the badger’s out and the rhd along with shooting has wiped the rabbits out ! The countryside is in a mess ! Foxes need seasons at least but really this thermal needs banning but it’s too late as everyone already has it. Pretty sad really

      @@jaseforster1184 My Farmers are delighted that there are none about ! They’ve lost no Lambs or Chickens or Ducks since I started with the Thermal, but our old Keeper used to say that it was a sad place that had no room for an old Fox !!

    • @260rips
      @260rips Год назад

      Vhd has wiped out the rabbits round here not shooting.
      As for foxes, I shoot around 120-150 a year and it’s the same every year even in the days when I was lamping them.
      In very rural areas then hitting them hard will no doubt have an effect on numbers but if you have foxes in surrounding areas they will quickly fill the void 🤷🏻‍♂️
      I suppose it depends on fox populations in different areas.
      Year before last my mate shot over 500 that year and numbers look to be no different the following year! We do definitely have a lot of foxes in the south east though.

      @@260rips I’m hoping they start showing up again, I’ve got plenty rough hill ground and Forestry around me so i’m sure there are more in the area, once they find the vacuum they’ll move back in. 👍🏼🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    • @jaseforster1184

      @@260rips the problem is with the rabbits everybody seems to want to shoot them with a .17 hmr and a thermal scope and I can’t see them getting a chance to come back. And shooting those kind of numbers on the foxes means only 1 thing to me. It was once very fruitful round by me but those days are long gone completely extinct come winter the countryside is wrecked due to the massive increase in rifle shooting and thermal technology it’s a disgrace being honest what’s happening nowadays in my honest opinion and I’m no anti I do shoot and hunt but if things don’t change there’ll be nothing to hunt or shoot. Foxes need seasons at the very least like most other countries do

    Good video, but my problem the shooting it's the worst sport for nepotism, to get into it you have to know someone. you have no chance of getting any land to shoot on,with out nepotism, or you have money.
