I have the genesis/megadrive game and its a damn good port, I played it that much I kind of like it over the OG lol, lucky this arcade version eventually came to the Wii and Wii U many years later.
Wasn't sprite scaling per se, though scaling could be done if programmed into the software. They could've substituted line scrolling, or redrawing sprites to make it look like scaling. Sadly other Namco titles that had scaling and rotation in the arcade versions couldn't carry them over to the Genesis, like Phelios, and Marvel Land.
It's on the Wii and Wii U but Japanese only, not sure if Nintendo closed the eshop on Wii U like they did with OG Wii though, and of course theirs the excellent mega drive port.
Got the Genesis port recently, games starting to rise slowly in cost, so I had to make my move. The Japanese version is even pricier for the Mega Drive sadly.
@@Renegaiden_ Nah Darius is quite an impressive series, and for the time it was released, it had a killer soundtrack. Darius also predates this game by a few years.

平成元年にリリースされたナムコ3DビューSTGですね。
平成最後のSTGはエースコンバット7となりますが30年の歳月で随分変わったものだなと感慨深いものがありますね。
同タイトルの他同じ時期にグラディウスⅢ、ダライアスⅡと話題性の高いSTGが相次いで登場したため今一つ存在感が薄いゲームでした。

Burning Force was most favorite space harrier clone on Arcade and best port was Genesis also the game title logo looks awesome and amazing
Technically it's only port was to the Genesis, got ported to nothing else.

タイトルにつられてゲーム始めると、エンディング以外ひたすらストイックな内容なのがなんとも。
スペースハリアー感覚でやって固定弾にやられまっくったなあ。
自分が持っていた基板はボーナスステージのボールの障害物が破壊出来なかった覚えがあります
若干バージョンが違う感じがします
