Glad you made it back safely, Katie! I was in Nevada from May 3 to 19, but just staying with family in Reno. Had to go through security twice at the airport on the way back home because someone had entered my traveling companion's birthday as mine, so my ID didn't match the information on file. One thing I wouldn't have had to worry about had I gone by motor home!

What a marvelous adventure, Katie! I would have been eating the green beans out of the pot, too. Nobody outside of Appalachia knows how to cook green beans. Your descriptions remind me of my first trip out west. A girlfriend and I took off as soon as school was out (we taught) and were gone for a month. It ignited my wanderlust, and I’ve never looked back. May your life be full of marvelous travels.

When the gentleman was unloading the rocks out of that camper I started laughing because all I could think about was that old movie with Desi arnaz and Lucille Ball called "The Long Long trailer" and they went on a trip out west and she collected a bunch of rocks and had so many rocks in the trailer that couldn't hardly pull up those hills. It cracked me up seeing all those rocks.
This family is absolutely amazing!! You can just see the love they all have for each other! I just love the Pressley girls and Tipper their Mama she’s an amazing woman wife and Mama!!💞💞. Their is an amazing Daddy and husband. I love watching them all! They are just wonderful!! 💞❤️🥰

Katie, who would have guessed that in 1956 I gathered rocks from the petrified forest and the painted desert, then brought them back to West Virginia, then two decades later the rocks ended up in Winchester, Virginia. Now I am in Florida listening to a Lady in North Carolina who has done the same thing. Amazing how God works in the lives of people. He would call me and tell me about every encounter or visit with both sides. He has been long gone and you wonder why a black guy would sit here and watch the people of Appalachia and hundreds of videos watching the Amish people. Because my long gone dad told me too before the internet was a thing. I love you girls and Momma and tears cant express how much what my dad told me about you all before I could experience it with him.
