Travels: by Pat Metheny: Arranged for Solo Guitar by Paul j Reynolds

This is a beautiful piece by Pat Metheny. I took it from the brilliant Pat Metheny Group album, Travels. On the album, it is played as a quartet. I’ve transcribed it for solo guitar. I’ve tried to perform it as a meditative piece, sometimes dragging the beat a little. I’ve kept a two-beat bass to pin it down and improvised on the last A and B sections - this being in the spirit of Pat who I don’t think would see the point of a carbon copy. Hi Paul! I just found your version via youtube and I LOVE it. You play with so much passion and soul - that is simply wonderful. I know how difficult this piece is - I also gave a try... ;-) but I can tell you that you got it. Your version is really touching and the sound of your guitar is amazing.
