130 police officers were injured. Some have brain injuries, one was stabbed, another will most likely loose an eye and one died that night. Two police officer have since committed suicide as have several of the rioters. This was a mess and a deep stain on the Republican Party and the Nation. Let's flip the script, if angry left wing protestors were going through your town, bombs had been found nearby, and one of them broke the window to your house and tried to climb through while several people I. I actually met a Trump supporter. It was shocking ! She had seemed to be intelligent, she was reasonably well-spoken, and she seemed quite nice. Suddenly, she commented, "...better than Michelle O'Bummer !" (In response to some remark from me about something completely unrelated to the US or politics or anything to do with Trump or the Obamas). I had no idea what she was talking about...I said, "Michelle WHO ?!". She then went into a rant about how horrible the Obamas are and that she was so glad that they were finally replaced by the wonderful, elegant Trumps. Eh ?! I kept trying to change the subject back to anything less noxious, but I finally had to take my leave. I am still in shock.
It's just miraculous that hundreds of people were not killed that day. From crowd crushing to stampede once a gunfight broke out.

The real crime here is that the party in power let this happen. Some one told these people it would be OK if they did it. they would be taken care of. Those same people are the people on the floor of congress that testify and say things like this was non violent. They were welcomed in etc. No national guard was brought in until it was to late. Not one Republican in charge would do anything to back up the local police until their attempt to get their hands on the electoral college votes failed. Unfortunately people in congress rarely get prosecuted. It's like an un written law but there are a lot laws that have been written that protect members from both parties in congress from prosecution for things that they do daily in their lives that they put mere citizens in prison for. Even Martha Stewart went to prison for insider trading. She is wealthy but she was missing one badge. She isn't nor has never been a member of congress. We watched to Georgia Senators in a run off election in 2020 that openly bought and sold stock based on information that they had related to the pandemic that citizens are not privy to. They were never even charged for it and it was covered by the national press. Their only punishment was losing an election. But they are alumni now so they won't be prosecuted. Sad isn't it, AND they can run again!!!!!! That is SICK.

About 20 years ago, I was labeled a conspiracy theorist, but it’s something I welcomed but today I completely run from it. Before the era that we are living in now, it wasn’t a bad thing to be label to conspiracy theorist because we were after real conspiracies that have real motives. Today in a world after Barack Obama, and I’m not blaming him for it. I think he did a good job as president but there was about 150 million people that couldn’t have told you the difference between a republican and a democrat before Barack Obama they just didn’t pay attention to politics at all. Once all of them got into politics, anything that they don’t like is a conspiracy. They’ve got this delusion that everything they think is right and they’re perfect and anything that affects their little ears. That might tell them something that they’re wrong instead of taking it as a learning experience, they just write it off as some crazy conspiracy.
I’m not saying there aren’t real political conspiracies out there, but I hate to tell people, but there are honest and shady people on both sides. Anyone with this delusion that everyone that thinks like they do politically as a good honest person, and the other side is evil for the sake of being evil , I’m sorry someone that dumb shouldn’t have the right to vote.

A cop is dead. Not the one in the video. But that is of no difference to the interviewee, because HE did nothing to help. And he wants to concentrate on the ones that helped, and not on the many who did not. He wants to pretend that little isolated cases were all of the violence and intent, but not his own conduct, or the mindless conduct of the crowd, or the ranting of his chosen leader, or the ranting of the many who abetted it, or pushing of actual violent forces within the crowd. He is trying to distance himself from the action, by compartmentalizing and minimizing it. The journalist is trying to get him to realize that it is all part of a single event.
