My bottle has a batch code. Five things: 1. The batch code might be on the cellophane wrapper of the box, or on the box itself. 2. Sometimes, grey market sellers [Notino, Fragrancenet, etc.] will remove or cover batch codes so that the bottles can't be traced (fragrance manufacturers generally don't like their products being sold by discounters). This prevents the manufacturer from finding out which of their distributors is selling fragrances to discounters. This does NOT mean the fragrance is fake. 3. If you have bought your bottle from an online discounter, chances are [very high] that it's legitimate. 4. Likelihood of authenticity starts to decrease if you've purchased from Amazon or Ebay, but still, most of the times the product is legitimate. 5. If I were in the business of selling fake colognes, I would ensure that the bottles had batch codes to make them appear as legitimate as possible.
