Thank you Steve! I love your music very much!!!! Put more live stuff up. I could watch and listen to your work for hours a day. You and Trey are my two favorite artists! I would love to see you two work together again.
Great resume..."Holmes has worked with Santana, Steve Lukather, Michael Brecker, Randy Brecker, Wayne Shorter, Joe Zawinul, Rob Thomas, and many others. His years with Santana garnered Holmes a higher level of respect within the industry along with multiple Grammy Awards. Rodney played on the hit song “Smooth” from Santana’s “Supernatural” album plus other hits."
Gotta love those chord progressions in Life of the Party, one of many SKB gems. Man, they'd bring that song to a peak! 2003 was as such a good year in SKB touring. What a treat to be there at the old 8x10...on Steve's birthday...
Yep. Live like 25 minutes from there , one of my closest friends worked there for a few years from 2008-2011 I believe. May not be called the funk box anymore but that's still exactly what the 8x10 is. Not sure if I ever saw kimock there , I saw him with zero at ramheads in early 2000s . Then early 2010s he had a show at ramshead Annapolis (seated venue, very classy and intimate venue) on 4/20 . Got to burn one with him before the show . Want to see him soon.
He's a financial analyst now but back in the day he played in a great jazz-rock jamband called The Living Daylights. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Living_Daylights
Thank you Steve! the ol Funk Box was a great place to enjoy your work! Love this era of SKB...Much Love to all!
