Thank you! This was tremendously useful information. I raise hair sheep primarily and they are grassfed/grass finished and theyve done amazing on it. The key i think is having sufficient, quality pasture or hay, just like you say.

Awesome. I'm raising hair sheep and would love to raise them lambs on pasture. We're setting up rotational grazing fences now so i guess i need to look into creep feeding them grass. 😊

Year 2 with Katahdins. This cleared up a few things for me. Thanks!

Thanks for info on the "LITTLES", DONT want the fat sheep pigging out on expensive feed. Would this work on medium sheep or calves?

Yes. Many people creep feed calves. For medium size sheep going to market, it can help with body confirmation.

Thank you Tim. I am raising Boers what kind of creep feed would you consider for a 4 week old buckling? Should I let it eat its Dams medicated goat feed for prevention of Coccidiosis ?

I would consider a good texturized feed for goats (a pellet is ok too) that is medicated for coccidia prevention. 16% is great for kids. Just watch your calcium to phosphorus ratio and ideally if you could find a feed with ammonium chloride included, that would be even better.
