It’s unfortunate but he should of known that.. in no way is this gameplay comparable to older titles he worked on that were amazing like: NiGHTS or Billy Egg Hatcher. like I love his art style and beautiful creativity for scenery but that is not enough.. I just don’t understand what happened for him to go in this direction.. it’s as dunkey said.. all the fun is sucked right out of everything you do..

Dunkey trying to find the spiderweb in the first level when he goes back to it was so infuriating. He literally stares at it when he comes into the level and then wanders around for ten minutes looking for it.
It’s fascinating that every person I’ve seen play this game thinks it pretty good for like first 10 minutes then when they actually sink their teeth into it at all they realize it’s terrible. It’s like they put a layer of frosting over a cardboard box and said it was a cake.
So here's one thing in defense of this game I've noticed while re-watching the stream: The bosses are all combinations of the costumes you have access to during their fights! ....that's, y'know... kinda creative, right?

I guess the problem with that is since the abilities are so glaringly boring and specific, the power when the bosses use it is also incredibly boring and specific. Like wow, the bug/spider hybrid boss makes small webs like the bug power, AND she swings small scythes like the mantis power?
The beginning cut scene looked pretty, but the game seems awful. Why didn't they make a movie? Not a movie about the game, but something with that Cappy character.
