Yup I still can! :) Although the more full the pouch gets the more "pressure" or the sensation builds up to have to go to the bathroom. Also because my sphincter muscles still aren't back to full strength, the more loose the output the more accidents I have at night but this should be eliminated by around 8 months out...I hope!
Hi, I don't know if you still monitor these comments. At roughly the 14min mark, you talked about a guy in SF who has UC/PSC and was undergoing a liver transplant. You mentioned watching some of his videos online. I did some searching on RUclips for him, but didn't get any hits. If you have a name or a link, that'd be great. Can't tell you how much I appreciate these amazing videos. I'm considering the J-pouch and this series has been invaluable. We've been watching them in order.
Hey Yodalis! YES, I can ALWAYS hold it now! I can tell when I need to go but can hold it for hours if I need to although it tends to get more uncomfortable the longer I hold it. The sense of URGENCY is gone! I don't get stomach cramps but I DO tend to get more gassy the longer I hold it. My diet is normal but I do tend to try and stay away from foods that make me gassy as I can't pass gas without being on the toilet. Drop me an email at ucandpsc@gmail.com..running out of room here! :)
