  • This is a video of the ride I had on my 2003 Honda Solo through the Peak District in July 2021. The Solo is a factory custom made by Honda in 2003 and is based on the ubiquitous Honda 50 Cub. It takes its retro inspiration from small bikes from the 40s and 50s, especially some Moto Guzzis of the period. The Solo was only ever sold in Japan and so this a grey import, and one of only a handful in the UK.

      Wonderful bikes, but expensive as they are so stylish and there weren't that many made so they are in demand.

      I didn't know about that and I've no idea why it happens, they seem to work for me. I'll try contacting RUclips about it - but contacting God would probably be easier! 😒

    You can get a Lifan 125 engine(everything included) that fits exactly. Lifan are good quality chinese motorcycles, I have a LF 250(a yamaha virago copy which has done 145,000 km)my thai stepson had a Honda 50 Chaly, which he had converted to the 125 Lifan engine. regards Con

    Nice, I have one just like it in the silver. I imported it new from Japan in 2005 to my country. Not particularly powerful so slows down alot on the hills! I have an old cub 90 which the engine would swap in nicely! :)

    This is much like the 30s european sachs 98cc super lightweight motorbikes. Cool concept, its a pity it was a JDM and we get only scooter like mopeds, which I dont like.

    Is it a small moped? (For European people in general)

    • @Chris.rooke150
      @Chris.rooke150  2 года назад

      @@Chris.rooke150 Nice 👍 but is it really small?

    • @Chris.rooke150
      @Chris.rooke150  2 года назад +1

      The engine is small, but the bike itself is big enough to ride without problem - and I'm 6' 1". 👍
