They were one of the premier jam bands in America back in the late '70s. They also have a very nice ballad, one of their last major hits, "Do It Or Die" from 1979. The song's theme might apply to you at this time, Harri.
Absolutely love ARS! One of my go to bands for music while I'm working!! They're just amazing all around! Always happy for others yo find their fantastic music! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
In July 1979, I attended a concert at Grant Field on the campus of Georgia Tech. Concert was titled Champagne Jam II and featured Atlanta Rhythm Section, Aerosmith, the Cars, Mother’s Finest, Dixie Dregs and Whiteface. 6 bands, 12 hours for 25 bucks! It was incredible! What a memory for a then 19 year old. Just attended a Zach Bryan concert in Nashville last weekend! Seen a lot of great acts over the years!
Saw this band back in the 70s at a Jacksonville festival, when concerts cost next to nothing!! Lineup was Chaka Khan, Atlanta Rhythm Section, J. Geils Band, Rufus, and The Rolling Stones!! My girlfriend and I got stranded overnight due to a car malfunction and had to sleep in my car till we got it fixed the next morning!! Ahh, the memories
Man, that song is just so fun! I think your reaction was right on target, Harri. It would be really difficult not to like this song. Personally, I love it! I’ve never heard it before tonight, and I thank you, Neal, for turning me on to this treasure of music. And thank you, Harri, for your infectious reaction to this song 🎉
Harri - All the best going forward with these new life changes and direction! Very cool that one of my July selections will be associated with this new era in your life. Thanks, brother, for all you do and I loved your reaction to Champagne Jam!
Neal, or should I call you MR. Music 😉, you always pick your songs to please! I’m still humming Harbor Lights from last month… You have an amazing instinct for great music 🎉 I truly look forward to your requests as they are reliably stellar ✨ Indeed, I believe Harri & the community are in agreement with my sentiments. You ARE the music messenger; your song choices always brighten my days. 🙏🏼🙏🏼, I sincerely thank you, Sir, for your enormous contributions to making this channel the BEST reaction channel…no, the best channel, on RUclips.
@@iandowney4630 I'm speechless --- thank you!. I remember the first time I saw a reaction channel. I was blown away when more and more were popping up on You Tube. I guess it's a reflection of my age but i knew all the songs that were getting reacted to. Of course tons of songs were running through my head that I wanted to see these reactors get a taste of. So, I started following "Lost In Vegas" and "Jamal aka Jamel" and some others. Eventually I found Harri a few months before I finally joined in February of '22. I never looked back and I can't imagine now not being a part of it. It's been fun watching him evolve and polish his act if you will. My first selections were "You'll Think Of Me" by Keith Urban, and "Missing You" by Dan Fogelberg. You know, Ian -- you are a fresh new edition to Harri's channel and I can assure you that you are appreciated by all of us. Class and character never go out of style. Thanks again for your kind words!
Got to see ARS at the Helen Keller fest in Tuscumbia Ala in 2015 .Wasnt all the original guys but a few were still jamming..Great show was cut short by a southern rainstorm out of nowhere..
You have to listen to "Doraville" or "Angel" or -"Alien". Went to the Champagne Jam in Atlanta Ga. In 1977 or 1978 with Atlanta Rythym Section, Doobie Brothers, Santana, Eddie Money and Mother's Finest. Great concert at Grant Field in Atlanta!
Wonderful that you mood is contagious! Decisions can be difficult and I am learning that procrastination has not part in a healthy , positive attitude❤ Thanks for sharing yourself❤😂❤❤❤❤!
ARS hosted a music festival in '78 and '79 in Atlanta called The Champagne Jam. The artists that played there icluded Santana, the Doobie Brothers, Eddie Money, Mose Jones, Aerosmith and Mother's Finest.

Smooth Southern band.
The one and only pncombies bringing us a very slick tune by ARS. This song really has great chops and transitions. It's a Champagne Jam!🤟
Back Up Against The Wall
RIP Ronnie, Paul, JR, and Buddy. Thank You!
And Barry

Great song to react to. I haven't heard this song in a long time and yet it still sounds just as good as the year it was released.
ARS! Excellent choice Harri 🍻
The Tampa jam back in '77 was where this band sounded the best!
Wow! I think I need to pay more attention to ARS! I’m happy for your good mood Harri. Thanks to you and Neal 🌺✌️
