In your defence, tail strikes were a regular occurrence with Concorde. That’s why it had that extra wheel in the tail. Needless to say, the minimum-on-stick test would have been a breeze.

Edit: I think he needs sleep as it was a late night stream and he cranked out this vid right after. His landings were bad because of the lack of sleep not because he tried to land a Concord at Kai Tak.

In a state like that, the only plane he’s fit to fly would have to be a Lockheed Tri-Star, as those things could actually land autonomously. They don’t make ‘em like they used to. Nowadays, if the pilots fall unconscious or get sucked out the plane or whatever then it would be down to a knowledgeable passenger to land it as best as they can, you know, like you see all the time in the movies.

The queen is finally ready, and she was developed by only one guy. I can understand the price, especially when taking into account the detail of the sonic boom and that we can't hear anything in front of her. Like seriously: that blew my mind. Best believe this is the first plane I'm getting when I buy MFS2020. :D
That sonic boom stuff is built into FS2020, some other planes have it as well in the same way :)

Man, I can tell you're absolutely tickled to death with this Concorde. You know, it'd be great if the Concorde or any supersonic flights return. There have been talks (mainly rumors) of a supersonic aircraft returning to airlines.
Boom Supersonic is currently in the process of creating the next supersonic airliner, they are doing some cool stuff there and hopefully it comes to fruition
In today’s economic shit show? Have a laugh! You do realise that the reason they discontinued Concorde in the first place was because it was just too damn expensive. Those 4 Rolls-Royce Olympus engines guzzled jungle juice like there was no tomorrow!
@@MrSupercar55 They already have big backers such as Japan Airlines, and United Airlines has put in an order for 15 jets. First flights are expected in 2029, a full 60 years after the Concorde. I think it’s pretty safe to assume there’s been plenty of progress made in fuel efficiency over a span of 60 years. If it flops, it flops but I still think it’s fantastic that there’s a company going for it

This looks like an amazing Concorde mod
Its unfortunate that DC Designs based the FMS off the default a320 neo so not really anything different with the FMS, just different color in the text.
So, also very limited in terms of features. I mean I'm not sure what a Concorde FMS could do but even back then vnav, DME arcs or so might have been possible?
He did it because of the Xbox. The INS has WASM coding and high the Xbox would reject this you’d have another DC6 waiting game on your hands. He stated that when the Xbox receives the update to allow wasm coding it will be updated with the full INS. If you’re on Facebook you can go to their page and he has a whole log of post on development and explaining all this.

9:24 depends from what year it is cause newer Concorde has probably upgraded avionics. Also the whole start up procedure isn't less detailed they probably did most things automatically in overhead panel to make it simpler for normal person to start it in game.
It is not supposed to be an FMC at all, it is supposed to be an INS. No Concorde had an FMC, that was the flight engineer’s job back when they were required.
