You hit the nail on the head with the thins and extra thins. They're intended to be permanent bonds, but are also designed to avoid snapping parts and weakening plastics. For any model that doesn't need to move, the stronger glue is absolutely the way to go. For gunpla and other figure builds that have hefty articulation, the thin cement is the way to go.
Agreed particularly on Polystyrene Gunpla I only use the Tamiya extra thin.
Best line ever. “Spooging of the shmue”
You know you glued enough when the Schmoo spooges out!!
Love this video! I haven't watched it all the way through cause I wanted to go out and buy one of em, and I trust your judgment. The burps are funny as fuck though, never change. I totally do the same thing, but instead of beer it was cause one of my friends hated it when I burped and I thought it was funny; and I'm still only 19 so can't legally drink yet. Will be subbing and watching through when I have time.
If it annoys your good friends do it more! thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing. Too bad just bought Tamyia! I'll have to use it up or make sprue goo. The Tamyia Limonine (orange lid) is less toxic (marketed as such) with a more pleasant odour for those with sensitivity to strong scents & has a slower drying time for kids (with supervision again as marketed)
You are correct but I think the bond from the limonine is pretty weak stuff, I may do another glue shootout with better controls next time.
do you think mr cement sp is good?i use it too, it dry fast but look too watery.
@@justinlee2435 the new-ish Mr Cement sp is supposed to be better than Tamyia extra thin in that it has an improved "dramatically improved" drying time (not so runny as S version) & a stronger adhesive formula than Mr Cement S...I guess its personal preference
@@rosemaryr.long-morgan9704 yes it's right, dry fast and strong.
@justinlee2435 yes it should be very similar to Tamiya extra thin which is still one of my most used glues for plastic.
That's the old Tamiya cement from the 70s and 80s, only now in a hexagonal bottle
That explains why it is so slow, seems to remind me of old Testors cement from when I was a kid.
Ok Sheldon, cloitus? Really? 🤣🤣🤣
LOL
