You gave very detailed instructions.🥰 Can you explain a bit more about how you full in the front loader please?
Once the wool is stuck together (felted) not coming apart, you can shrink it further in the washing machine. There won’t be any control over where shrinkage would occur, so I recommend only short 10-15 min at a time and check it. Once it’s close to your foot size, I would finish fulling it, shaping, shrinking where necessary. The machine helps give your arms a break. I’m not sure of this explanation helps, I don’t have too much experience using the washing machine. If I make boots or any large or thick items in the future, it would be helpful.

I know it says Mike, but I am Donna. Loved your video...both that i watched, so helpful. I have never used roving wool before, just got gifted a HUGE bagful of roving merino wool. Can't wait to try felting some slippers. And PAYING to have them soled. LOL
Haha I am so glad you watched that! Highly recommend having them soled by a shoe maker. Thank you for watching. The slipper video is a bit of a slow start but the instructions are step-by-step and I tried to make it as thorough as possible. Let me know if you get stuck or have any questions! Hi, good question! I used the agitation as a way to felt them in the washing machine without any heat. So I put them on cold wash only :). You can experiment but I recommend only minutes at time :)

Oh so nice to hear! How did they turn out? I usually leave my slippers to dry overnight. Either near a heater, fireplace or outside in the sun :), that is if you have dried them first on a towel. If they are saturated then you might want to hang them outside for a few hours to remove most of the water.
@@muffsmerino Oh, thanks for that - very helpful. It's a wet winter evening so I've actually put them in the oven on a warm setting! Seems to be working. So far, so good! Once I get the soles on, I'll put them on Insta and tag you so you can see what your hard work inspired 😊
