If I want to make the brim larger or longer, what will be the continuing pattern?
please i need the answer for this
I will check the pattern as it was awhile ago and reply tonight 👍
@@flaneurli.6077 hi, I would make row 33: 11sc, increase; then make 1-2 rows without any increases depending what shape brim do you want. And I would continue if I need 12sc, increase; 1 or 2 rows without increase and so on. Hope it helps 🤞
Magic circle is just a big slip knot, with the magic circle you crochet in to the open loop, with the slip knot you pull it together and insert your crochet hook. I hope this helps, just practice you'll get it if I did so will you
Is this 4 weight yarn?
Love the hat. My mom use to wear one like this before she passed, I have it, but it's looking old. I will do this hat in her memory. Thanks for sharing.
This is exactly what I've been searching for a very long time. Years ago I brought a hat similar to this made from Chenille yarn with a rolled brim. I'd loved to see this pattern crocheted with a rolled brim.
Hi! I made hat with chenille yarn a few days ago, check on my channel please. Rolled brim? I may think about it. Thank you 😊
@@HobbiCROCHET A rolled brim is just a turned up brim that's rolled up and not down. You can find many examples of this style online. Google, Crochet Chenille roll brim hat. Pintrest has pictures of this style also.

@@pgam6529 I used 2 yarn rolls !

Very very pretty .. I want to make one for me and my daughter!! Thank you for sharing such a beautiful pattern 😍
A easy way is to just sc 5 then add stitches into the very first loop u made so much easier. The magic circle is hard sometimes 😊
This is such a clear explanation! Thank you!
Thank you for your feedback! Very happy to hear that 🌹🥰🌹
So cool! You have awesome skills 👏👏👏

Thank you so much for your easy to follow tutorial. It took me three tries but I finished my hat and am quite pleasantly surprised at how good it came out. I found the magic circle to be the hardest part. You are an excellent teacher.

Hi Jessica, this is one of my first videos How To Make Magic Loop Or Magic Circle 2 Ways Easy Tutorial ruclips.net/video/Eu_qp-KRsUo/видео.html or check how others do it. It’s easier than you think- kind of slip knot but not tighten ☺️

It’s fantastic! This is what makes my day! Have a great day 😁
I am sorry,I made your hat using every stitch except for the magic circle! When I use the mc my work unravel and looks loose even after sewing in the ends, so I just chained4, and joined with a slip stitch instead, and it worked for me! Love this pattern!💜
That is great! Thank you for sharing ☺️
Thanks for sharing

I like the pattern thanks ❤
I love this video, Can I make this with Cotton yarn?
I made this and it turned out perfect thank you so much for this video ❤❤❤
Fantastic! Thank you for letting me know ☺️
I love this hat and your EXCELLENT tutorial! Questions: would it work in a velvet yarn that requires a 5mm hook? Also how do I modify size for a 7 month old baby? Thanks!
Hi, I was going to make this hat with velvety yarn tomorrow. Sorry, not sure about the hook size as all yarn is different. Try it and see how it goes.
For a baby I would make the top circle smaller.
@@HobbiCROCHET thanks for your reply! Looking forward to the next tutorials. Happy New Year! 🎆
I love it so much ❤️💜💜😍💙😍
Thank you 😊
Hi, I have a total of 78 (11sc, inc *6) stitches before doing the sides. Will it still be 4sc and inc for the brim? Is it okay if I will have 3 sc at the end?
I had to try a few times but I made it and I love it. 😊
Well done! Happy to hear that you have completed it 👍🥳
Hi how you finish it?
Did you take apart the entire ball of yarn to use two lines of crochet
Wooo ww beutifull sist...
thank you
Is a worsted weight yarn 4 too thin?
Merci beaucoup je viens d'en finir un c'est très joli et très rapide. Je n'ai pas piqué dans le milieu car je n'y arrivais pas bien mais ça donne quelque chose de rigide quand même. Merci beaucoup c'est super
This is great! Happy you have made it!
What do you do about the loose string end in the very beginning? Sorry I'm new.
I like this hat very much. I started pattern. I would like to know when I am approaching a two crochet from previous row do I crochet in only one of the double crochet and leave the other stitch alone. I find if I include both stitches from the previous two sc a crochet my circle gets ripples. I will try without both SC and see how it goes.
If it starts ripples, you have made too much increase. Not sure which round you are doing, but as soon as you feel it starts ripples, stop making an increase (2sc in one stitch). Continue with 1sc in one stitch till you feel tension, then proceed with the pattern increase. Skipping stitches will create holes - so I would be careful there.
Another advice - try smaller hook. Usually this pattern works as it's a common pattern to make a circle. Good luck 🤞
Thank you for reply. I was working increase row. One sc two SC in one space. As I come around row three as example one sc crochet in space next stitch will have two SC in one space so I need to work each stitch even though there are two in a single space. But I will use smaller hook. I think that made circle bubble. I did crochet one hat so far but I used only SC crochet because I just wanted to go through the pattern and see finish product. I know practice is the answer. This waist coat stitch reminds me of Tunisian style crochet. I love crocheting Tunisian so easy and beautiful. I might even try a hat with Tunisian stitch.
If I make a bigger brim, do I increase any more?
what type of yarn do u use?
I love it❤❤❤
Thank you 😊
hello! i'm wondering if when you said you used 300m of yarn, was that for both strings (2 strings: 300m) or 300m per string (2 strings: 600m)??
When you count the sketches between the two increases. how do you determine which sketch you start with?
Row 9 which stitch do you start with in between the increases can you explain it to me please
Row 10, Row 11, Row 12
I like your pattern the hat is very classic but I need help to finish it thank you
if you're confused about where to start/stop increasing on the circle, I'd say get a stitch marker (i use a safety pin) to mark where you started!
At row 27, you said its 4sc and inc, but at the end of the row, I have extra 2 stitch. Do i just continue?
Edit: i made one 2 days ago and thought it was an error as i might miss a stitch or something but yeah. But it turned out lovely! Thank you for the tutorial
Glad it turned out well. Sometimes I can miscount couple stitches, and it can be ok especially if it’s at the end of the project.
do we stich in the middle the whole time??
after row 12 if the circle isnt big enough for the head do we repeat rows 9 - 12 or is it just single crochets in each stitch. im confused..
May i know what type of yarn you used? and the hook size.
Thanks for the pattern. What yarn did you use for the back hat?
Hi, I bought it many years ago, not sure they still make it. Marra Adelia Company (Australia) Handknitting yarn 50%wool 50%acryl 50g -95m. This is everything from the label. Hope it will help.
do you use two balls of yarn for two strands?
It's beautiful :) . But what is the pattern if you want to make the brim wider please?
I will go 3sc, increase every 2-3 rows. You will see how it goes
These are sick I can’t wait to finish mine
Thanks for doing this tutorial, it's amazing! But I have a doubt, how does the last point end?
i have the same question....
@@viviennejooren7466 Hi, sorry I dropped the end. Have a look in the description below the video, it’s a little video link How to finish it 😊
I'm making this right now, and I lost at row 3, I don't understand hahaha, I'll try my best, i want to finish this bucket hat,
It’s turned out so big!
Sorry to hear that. My head is 53cm . How many stitches did you have when you were doing sides?
@@HobbiCROCHET I did mine exactly like yours, it’s not for me it for my bf I hope it fits him. 🤞🏻
Can you try for yourself without the last row increases on the top of the hat? It will reduce amount of stitches. Hope it will help 🤔
@@HobbiCROCHET ok thanks your the advice
You're a freaking genius, I love it
Thank you very much 🙏
How do you tell how big to make the crown before continuing with sides?
How much wool did you use
Before the brim portion I have 77 st should I still follow your pattern by doing 4sc then increase or should I do 6sc then increase?
Hi Nia! I would start with 4sc and increase. 😊
Do you have written instructions for this please with diagrams? I just can't see where you are putting the hook when you say you are going into the middle of the sc, for one sc , then 2 sc in the next one
Amazing, thank you!!
I dearly love the hat, the style of how it looks, well done 🤗😶🤍🤍🤍
Why does mine curve? It just makes a bump it’s not flat...
Great!
Thank you 😊
I really liked the hat but is there a video that explains the top pattern
Try to make the video slower by clicking Settings- Playback speed -0.5. Sorry if I went too fast.
Thank you for this tutorial. Can I use a size 4 yarn? And do I have to double the strands if I'm using a size 4?
Hello, do you have a written instruction for this hat? It looks lovely, thank you for your video.
Not yet. I have just wrote the pattern for velvety yarn hat ( it’s next on my channel). I will write this one over the weekend
I would love the written pattern as well please 🙏
The written pattern would be very helpful. Thank you!
