Fun fact: Shoto's scar isn't from the boiling water on it's own. In the manga, his mom realizes what she has done and tries to fix the mess she's made. After she poured the boiling hot water, she attempts to calm the burn down with her ice powers, but you should never tame a burn with ice because it can cause frostbite and damage the skin.
Shoto's scar isn't from boiling hot water, it's a frost scar from his mother's powers.

In a dark way, All Might kind of became a bad influence to some people like Endeavor
Edit: When I say these words, I don’t mean that All Might made these people bad or influenced their decisions. You can't really blame All Might for this. There's wanting to be the best or surpass a rival then there's dragging your family through years of abuse in a quest to surpass your supposed rival because of your failings. All Might did good and helped people while Endeavor could only think of himself.

yeah i also kinda have an abusive family (I HAVE to become a doctor, forced to be an extrovert when im not, being shouted at a lot and also being beat as a child /doesnt happen that much now/)
so youre kinda like a comfort character to me ^^
I don't think people notice how strong Shoto actually is in mental terms. He suffered so much as a child, he got pushed beyond his limits only to one day surpass a goddamn grown up. Not to mention, he even got rejected by his mother for "becoming too much like his father". Shoto may have had it easy when he was very little because Touya was the first one to get abused like this (which is so sad). And then after Touya ran away to start a rebellion (just a theory but there's a high chance for it to actually be true) Shoto was the next one to go. He experienced so much pain, both physically and mentally. In some cases people don't recover from such a childhood trauma. In real life we obviously don't have quirks or anything but it's still a very hard thing to overcome. I'm really happy that Shoto stayed strong and didn't let his father drive him to evil like he did with Touya. I'm also really glad that the Endeavor is trying to become a better father despite his countless mistakes in the past, I don't expect him to be forgiven that fast though. Sadly, I don't think many people notice how much Shoto has actually fought.

Can we all take a moment to appreciate how good of a person All Might is, and that's probably a large part of the reason why Endeavor was never able to surpass him.

Todoroki is kind of based off of Zuko from The Last Airbender. They both hate (or dislike) their dads, they love their mothers but was separated at a young age (Shoto's mom in mental hospital and Zuko's mom was banished), they become friends with main protagonist and they both have scars (and dark backgrounds)
And I'm willing to bet Dabi is gonna be the Azula to Shoto's Zuko.

Did anyone realize that on 2:32 the boy, (I'm supposing is Toya) when he was going too kick the ball but froze up for a moment as soon as Endeavor was pulling Shoto across the balcony? I believe that might be part of the reason he missed the ball and fell onto the floor, because he was fearful for Shoto and knew that something bad was going to happen..
I'm honestly very convinced that Dabi was indeed a Todoroki, just like many others believe. And if it the case, I'm deeply afraid of what Dabi/Toya had to go through during the time he was born, to make him become a villian.

Well now that it’s been confirmed he’s a todoroki. The psychological damage Endeavor did to Dabi made him emotional less, I think when he was younger possibly maybe deep down he did feel bad for Shoto but repressed it since it seems like he doesn’t care about anyone in his family except for his brother and mother and maybe his sister. In Dabi’s mind he feels that Shoto was Endeavors favorite because of the attention it seemed like Shoto was receiving, even though Dabi was physically abused by his father he still respected him as a hero. That’s why Dabi’s true plan was just to kill Shoto since that was his fathers “favorite” but now Endeavor is #1 hero

Endeavor made (Rei the mother) marry him to create the “perfect” Child for his so called “masterpiece”which is shoto his goal was to create a half fire half ice child and when none of them came out how he wanted them to he kept trying to he came with Shoto he only married her for her quirk to create what he wanted and then after he got shoto he basically pushed her away because he really didn’t need her anymore... that’s why in the manga before Touya runs away Endeavor tries to make him the “perfect child” but obviously he got tired of the abuse and ran away so Endeavor and Rei created a new one which was Shoto and then he basically used Shoto to train and stuff as a “replacement” of Touya..

I think this anime/manga handled the topic of domestic violence well. Showing the trauma in not only Shouto but also the mother and portraying such emotion and overcoming a past of hard ship. Well done BNHA 👏

It's not impossible. Characters like Vegeta and Sasuke got redeemed, and they make Endeavor look like Spongebob. People really need to stop going crazy about Endeavor's redemption when worst characters got redeemed too.
@@esteban8471 PFFT ok, the things vegeta and sasuke have done were very fictional sounding situations, vegeta comes to earth to destroy it, sasuke runs away from the village and does crazy shit. Endeavor did something that exists in our world, he emotionally scarred and ruined his family which is something people in our world do. The things most villians do is very fictional making it more easy to forgive but stuff that are very real and very horrible are not as forgivable.

He fell when he saw Enji dragging Shouto because he knew what was going to happen to Shouto, him being the oldest with naturally blue flames likely meant he had to deal with the same thing until Shouto was born. This only supports the Touya Todoroki is Dabi theory, he was used (and abused) and thrown away when his father found out his quirk made his body weak. Have you ever noticed Dabi rarely fights one on one with somebody? He always puts distance between him and his opponent.
