In fact, I think you can even hear a little bit of an English accent peaking through when Alice Lowe says "Sandwich". It might be the 'a' that isn't quite nasal enough or the 'n' being turned into an 'm'. Edit: On second thought, it might be the 'just' that sounds off.
They certainly are British. It's like the Little Britain sketches. Harry Enfield (the American) and Paul Whitehouse (the father) play all sorts of characters with all sorts of accents.
Harry and Paul are absolute legends, no shortage of their skits on youtube. Multilingual football coach, sophisticated builders, Clarkson Island, Lorry drivers song, Nelson Mandela, The Benefits, so much gold.
Everyone in the sketch is English, either doing an American accent or playing an English character. Harry Enfield and (I think Alice Lowe) play the American couple, while Paul Whitehouse (in one of the rare occasions you'll see him as himself!) is the embarrassed Dad, and Simon Day is the miserable café owner. All brilliantly acted! Just in case anyone struggled to follow the full update of the football standings, the 'Badidlyboing Chipmunks' got whupped by the 'Rhode-Eyed Rapists' and are now 3 points behind the 'Mincenatti Mincers' with a game in hand against the 'Tampon Bay Terrorists' and 2 over the 'Pennsyldelphia Paedos.' It's all the more funny because it is so alarmingly accurate!
Harry Enfield, the man in the sketch, who's also the creator and main writer, is a comedy genius and something of a national treasure. He's most definitely British and I'm pretty sure all the cast were British too! :)
@@aaronlondon1 She was -- her opening scene is probably my favourite part of the whole show, just amazing... but I think this is Morwenna Banks, following comments on some of Connor's other Harry vids. Turns out they both played Pammy!

Harry Enfield & Morwenna Banks are English. A London “caff” usually offers more food than a cheese sandwich but I guess the owner just gave them one option to get rid of them.
The old 'American' lady in this video also used to be on the BBC's Horrible Histories. As you obviously love history any of their videos would be well worth a look because they're all funny takes on world history. Their Stupid Deaths segments are hilarious despite the seriousness of the subject.
I know, @@bsmith5404, especially King George IV with his hilarious song of, " Dad's dead, dad's dead, I'm King, I'm King....". The irony of this is that I'm due to celebrate my 69th birthday next Tuesday therefore I'm still asking myself the question of what I'd like to be when I grow up? I won't claim to know anything approaching a majority of people from the USA, but in my over 5 decades, I have never met anyone quite like either of these "Americans". But then again...I have never been to Idaho. I guess it is kind of fun to look back to the time when we used to be able to make fun of stereotypes and people would not get offended by it. I would love to see Connor start to react to old comedy movies...he should react to Blazing Saddles first.

Connor. That is Harry Enfield. The show is called Harry and Paul. Did you miss that? He can do any age from toddler to elderly AND an American accent just like Paul Whitehouse can. The actress is also English. Neither Paul or Harry are even trained actors. Yes, that's how talented the British are.
Alice Lowe eh? She was in the earlier Horrible Histories. Given that you like comedy and history, have you done BBC’s Horrible Histories yet? Kids programs that was too good for just kids 😂👍.
I've had breakfast eating out lots of times.. what establishment serves "cheese sandwich" for breakfast...??? Where's the FULL MONTY BREAKFAST.. ??? 😎😎😎
Hilarious- very well observed not only in terms of the stiflingly pleasant Americans, but the persistent low-key c**tiness of British! I actually can't remember the last American visitor to the UK I've chatted to who doesn't have at least one "horror story", where they've sat down and ordered food only to discover a shockingly limited range of menu options, and in some cases no food at all. Inevitably this tale of woe will precede an exhaustive description of the many hundreds of menu items, potential serving combinations and cooking preferences available at a typical restaurant or diner back in the US (and that's just for breakfast!!)... I've always been too polite to interrupt and gently reassure them this is not a consequence of poor hospitality or some arcane socialist rationing system, but because none of the places at which they're placing these food orders are actually restaurants..... A lot of pubs, bars and coffee shops will only offer a range of light snacks- other pubs only serve meals in the evenings. Tables and chairs are widely available for comfort and relaxation in many public spaces, but may not always be affiliated with a full service kitchen. The UK is just a far smaller landmass. Plates and condiments tend to clutter up the space where the beer goes. Excellent reaction as always Connor, well played.🏅
I don’t think McJibbin looks at these comments but my challenge for him is to find an American actor that to our ears can pass off an authentic sounding English/Scottish/Welsh/NI accent, no Dick Van Dyke versions, they sound ridiculous.
Harry Enfield an AMERICAN ?????? If so, then he's as 'American' as The Beatles, our late Queen, Lancashire Hotpot, and Yorkshire Tea (or, say, Charlie Chaplin, Cary Grant, Hugh Laurie, Tom Hardy etc etc etc) !!!
Hi Connor. I've never laughed so much watching your reaction to our long-lost UK comedians (and by that I mean we're getting cancelled because of easy offended snowflakes). Anyway, may I recommend you have a swatch at Dave Allen from the 80's and Billy Connolly. Love your channel. Much love 💕 🏴
